Dude, I did the exact same thing. And to top it off, I saved before I noticed the head bouncing around, which meant that after he killed me and I loaded, I started with the same amount of HP I had when I saved and I had to fight him at a disadvantage. I was so pissed.

Anyway, I'll keep the elixir thing in mind. Thanks.

To bring up another game for a moment, I spent a couple of hours with Valkyrie Profile tonight. I just finished the Tower of Lezard Valeth.

Holy crap, that was brutal. Definitely the most challenging part of the game so far, and it hit me like a brick wall. Feels good to get through it though.

I'm attempting to go for the A ending here.

Though I haven't had luck in finding my psp(havent' really had a chance to look that hard yet though either with needing sleep which i'm aobut to get some more of...) and I refuse to go back to origins(i like having my saving everywhere thing)

btw CFFJR once you get to the Mines in Popful Mail there's an insanely easy way to grind to max gold in like 20/25 minutes. Made the game much easier for me. I can tell you da trick if you want.

Okay here we go...

Sorry if this is slightly ambiguous, I don't have the game in my console anymore to test but my memory is still mostly fresh.

Go in the mines. You'll find a weapons shop pretty quickly. Buy what you can afford - make sure you get the claw for Gaw as it makes this process 100 times easier. Eventually you'll go through an "outdoor" area with killer clouds and perhaps a couple more "mine" rooms.

Anyway, you'll eventually emerge back in the "main" mine area. There will be a gap on your right. Dropping down this gap puts you back at the weapons shop. Instead of dropping, jump to the right over the gap and kill the two mummies with Gaw's claw. Each one will drop a gold bullion. You can sell these for 500 gold each at the weapon shop - the catch is you can only hold 4 in your inventory at a time.

So kill two mummies, collect the gold bullion. Jump back to the left over the gap and go in/out the door so the mummies respawn. Kill two more so you'll have four bullion total. Now drop down the gap to the weapons shop. Sell the bullion for a cool 2000 gold.

Since you fell to get to the weapons shop you have to find a quick way back to the mummies. Now here's the trick. Don't "backtrack" to where the mummies were located. Instead simply save and then load. You should appear back in the "upper" area to the left of the gap. Now you simply need to hop that gap once more to be face-to-face with the mummies again (usually loading puts you back to the last door you exited but I guess shops don't count??).

Using this trick you can gain about 2000 gold every 1-1.5 minutes. 50000 is the max. Once you hit that grab 4 more gold bullion to sell later (after you buy weapons/items in a future area) and proceed to the left side of the "upper" area. Money-wise this will get you set more most of the remaining game. I did a little grinding outside the very last shop but that's about it.

Just beat the Grand Jewel in Legend of Dragoon, and it took only two tries.

Conception II

Talked with all the girls, did a few quests, and did a whole bunch of the Wrath dungeon :) I almost finished it, but I got to the boss and it kicked my butt >< I really hate those attacks that hit everybody... At least it wasn't an insta death, so I think I have a chance of beating it without too much grinding.

Well, the Wrath boss wasn't as easy as I thought it was... but even so I did manage to beat it in three tries :) I didn't have to do much grinding either, which was nice. Just killed a few of these enemies that give a ton of EXP. Still a tense battle though.

After that, I just did a quest or two and talked with the girls a bit again. Really lame this time though since there weren't any special conversations. Most of the time I got were repeats too :/

Oh well, I hope the next dungeon goes well.
