Seriously of all the things they COULD ban from TV, like a Kardashian for example, they want to do this? Hell, just call them the "Skins" instead just to piss them off.

What about the Atlanta Braves, the Kansas City Chiefs and the Cleveland Indians? Why stop at Redskins?

Just scrap them all and start over. I understand they are traditional in American sports, but these mascot names are beyond stupid.

What about the Chicago Blackhawks? I mean look at all the black people that live in Chicago! AND it insults Indians, supposedly. If you're not going after them all, it looks like you have it in for a certain team or whatever.

Look at the NAACP. It's a group for black people, except try calling a black person a colored person.

Cleveland has gotten some heat about Indians. They had to quit using their mascot back in the 80s.

i don't believe they quit using chief wahoo. i think they just started phasing him last couple of months and it's just because it's a bad caricature of a race. you hear the same from the braves mascot from time to time. but has nothing to do with the mascot names of those 2 teams.

The difference between "redskins" and the other terms is that "redskins" is a racial slur. It's not that hard. It's a historically established word used to disenfranchise a large group of people.

If your other team names served the same purpose, yes, they should be changed. Team names change all the time, you'll get over it.
