That might be the "official" Microsoft deal, but check with your university specifically.

I know mine back in the day sold legit Office/Windows for like... <$50 each, I don't remember exactly what but it was silly cheap.

:( Got home at 8am from my normal shift today, my brother calls me and tells me that our aunt passed, just a couple minutes prior. Expected, and apparently my uncle's actually doing pretty phenomenally well all things considered, but I was still sad that I couldn't go and be with him because I had to be back here at work at 4pm for a shift swap (which, under normal circumstances, you can't get out of)

Bigger :( is that the funeral AND calling hours are both on Wednesday, when I have another shift swap at 4pm. But for this one, I'm going to get it taken care of with some of the upper management. They're good about working with people and taking care of things, so I know it'll work out, but it's still going to be a giant pain in the butt. Edit: Taken care of. Spoke to a floor supervisor who suggested I email an operations manager, ops mgr checked her email from home and has already called in authorizing me to move the day I work to another day that's convenient. So that's one less thing to worry about.

Guess I'll be picking up a suit tomorrow morning when I get off of my double. I'm 32, time to stop with the hand-me-downs from my dad. I suppose I'll call that a small/cautious :), because looking nice is always good even if it's for the wrong reasons.

Condolences for your loss, man. I suggest a charcoal gray suit.

That's a thought. Also thinking black with some sort of darker pinstripe. Basically something that's funeral-appropriate, but could still in theory be worn somewhere else.

My brother recommended talking to the manager of one particular Men's Wearhouse so I'll likely just take his suggestion. Mom's too sick to be accompanying me, and the girlfriend lives in Canada so I have no woman to dress me

Sorry dood - glad the work stuff is taken care of early so you don't have to be thinking on that piece of it.

Sorry to hear Kalessin.

Highly recommend a dark charcoal suit. Black suits go in and out of style.

When have black suits ever gone out of style?

They're not en vogue right now.
