I almost never see the colored ones in the wild, and the ones listed online are fairly expensive (only the Jungle Green ones I've seen below $50 dollars), so I was kinda shocked to see this one up for $27.66 (plus $5.52 shipping). After some waiting and being surprised that nobody grabbed it, I went for this bad boy:
Initially I was actually not impressed with the smoke color. I expected it to be a little more...see-through I guess. I did clean it up as best as I could, considering that it looks as though this system hasn't been used in quite a few years. After opening it up and cleaning the inside of the top shell, it does look better. Has a number of surface scratches though. Thankfully no deep cracks like the Jungle Green one I bought several months ago (and later sold). Has a jumper pak, but not a big deal. Yes the memory expansion cover is the regular black one. I'm fine with it. Not in a big hurry to find a smoke-colored replacement. Only thing it really needs is a power supply but I'll get that next week.
I'll hold onto this for the time being, since my N64 backlog is needing to be tackled while it's still pliable, and the one in my living room is not exactly easy to access at the moment. Later on down the line I might try to do a straight up exchange for an Arctic Blue or Jungle Green (provided neither don't look like they've been used as a scratching post for cats).
BTW yes it does work. Tried it with the power supply of the one in my living room while I was somehow able to access it. So that's good.

No manual, not that it is super important, but found a boxed Epyx Fast Load today.

Yes, and I actually have a Final Cartridge III, which has a better fast load utility. But I never owned FL back in the day and I was suprised to find a boxed one, so I nabbed it. There were a few games too, but the only one that interested me, I already have.CRTGAMER wrote:Sweet! Went to Gamestop today to get a Pro Controller for my WiiU so that my buddy doesn't have to play Hyrule Warriors with a mote/chuck combo.
Was pleasantly surprised to find PS3's Prince of Persia hiding in the sub-$10 bin. At $2.99

A killer deal for the PCB alone, getting the PCB and Bezel for $40 is just exceptional. Good work.aaron wrote:just got a working UN Squadron PCB and bezel for $40 shipped. pretty amped on that.
