What was the last movie you've seen?

I think that's a consequence of the translation to film. Many of the allusions to the plot twists were done in context-less pre-chapter paragraphs in the original novel, which made it less obvious that the twists were coming.

I also think the movie would have been served much better if it were done in two parts. They really had to compress things down which really hurt the pacing of the film.

FULL METAL JACKET should only be compared to FULL METAL JACKET.

Going to watch AN AMERICAN TAIL tonight. Or is it AMERICAN TALE?

No, I disagree. You can compare it to Paths of Glory for an interesting look at Kubrick's style and approach towards war.

I like it but I pretty much have to leave all logical thought at the door when viewing it  .
Well, I'll say again, haven't seen it in a while, so my opinion could change on a different viewing, but things like walking from the Tundra into a Forest or dinosaurs at the same time as people doesn't bother me. I don't think 'wow that's inaccurate', I think about how cool it is. I guess I'm just a simpleton.

I recall it being terrible and barely a notch above a made for tv movie. Some of hilariously bad.

Finally watched the Exorcist. It was cool though I'm amused by all the 'scariest movie evar' stuff mentioned in all the trailers and stuff on the disc from when it was put in theaters again. I now have placement for samples that are in at least 15-20 songs.

Caught the tail end of Jarhead. Movie is fuckin' intense. Saw a few minutes of Terminator 3.

I suggest you watch One Million Years B.C. (1966) instead. It was a Technicolor Ray Harryhausen creature feature with Raquel Welch as a cavewoman in a fur bikini.

If you're going to suspend disbelief to watch a dinosaur movie, it may as well be fun and campy.

Without 1 million BC Andy Dufresne would never have gotten out of Shawshank.
