Well, I have no problem with being called a twat. Again, a statement of fact. As the terms are LITERALLY synonymous, however, being called out for using the one in response to the other...well, it rankles me some.

Again, a spade is a spade. But if you come at me, expect me to respond in kind.

If you are a gentleman (or woman) to me, you will be treated with gentlemanly respect.

If, on the other hand, you behave like a jackass, I advise you to be prepared for me to be the world's most epic jackass in response. I do not typically make the first aggressive move. Sarcasm? Yes. But assholery is always reactionary.

While I recognise the nature of an established group to rally around one of its own against a newcomer, I can't say I'm overly impressed with this particular segment of the site.
