I'm about to commit a crime:
I like Twilight Princess more than Ocarina. Sorry.
But Majora's Mask is my favorite. Speaking of which, I haven't seen, are there MM characters in this?

Well it was originally meant for gc anyways....the wii port was just to help salesfastbilly1 wrote:Twilight is vastly better on the Cube, but I still view it as the weakest of the 3d ZeldasTanooki wrote:Agree about Ocarina, it may start out with a kid, but it's dark cover to cover. I'm surprised to see that much nice said about Twilight as the game is just bloated, slow, worn out save setup that loses some progress, it just drags and some areas are so void of enemies it's a snore.

I like Twilight more than Ocarina too. By quite a bit in fact.Forlorn Drifter wrote:I'm about to commit a crime:

And Majora is my second favorite.
So, go you, way to be awesome.
As for Majora characters, it doesn't seem like there are any off the shelf. However they've announced something like 4 different dlc packs to be released over the next 4 months. One of them is Majora focused and includes a couple of new characters, though it hasn't yet been specified who those characters are.
I'm hoping Young Link wielding the Gilded Sword will be one of them. The Fierce Deity would make me happy too.

How in the world was Ocarina even remotely dark? You can't have a game where you spend fifty percent of your time running around as a kid be dark. No...just no.
I'll give it this much, everything from the first fight with Ganon all the way through to the end credits impressed me, basically the game's whole final act. It was pretty epic. Everything else about Ocarina was forgettable to me. TP was much more interesting and had many more memorable moments
Zelda II on the NES will always be my favorite Zelda though

MM is one of the darkest Zelda games in theme, it has a child star.alienjesus wrote:It shocks me that you believe this.Gamerforlife wrote:You can't have a game where you spend fifty percent of your time running around as a kid be dark. No...just no.

IMHO, WW breathed new life into the series. It dared to do something new, and I think it is up there with Ocarina in the 3D iterations.
Sure, the sailing was slow and kinda a pain in the ass, but the whole time I played it, I never felt like I had to force myself through any of it.

Let strength be granted, so the world might be mended...so the world might be mended.

I'd say Majora is the darkest, by far.emwearz wrote:MM is one of the darkest Zelda games in theme.
I think the only others that even come close are Twilight and the original, mostly because they both have something of a grim and oppressive atmosphere, for different reasons.
