The Queen's bounties are basically tickets for that mission with the legendary drop. So, the more bounties done the more times you get to replay it. At least that's what I've read.

Most of those bounties are pretty easy, even the twenty headshots in PvP didn't take too long.

Her missions become brutal without a good party (can't solo the second one).

Yeah, the Queens missions seem to have interesting weapon modifiers. Did the Gatelord mission with a modifier that increased damage done by sunfire weapons, which are the weapons the Vex use. It does make your weapons in that type more powerful though so I killed the gatelord with two shots from my exotic shotgun.

I now have two 20+ characters which will help for grinding.

I am getting my ass handed to me left and right at level 24, which is the level of all the enemies as well

Just did my second Queen Mission solo, god damn it was hard (fight against gate lord). But now I have some legendary robes and hit level 26.
