I think I'm calling it quits at this point myself. Summer is over by my standards.

I managed to finish 9 out of 10, which is pretty solid work, but unfortunately I never even got started on my 10th game (Super Aleste). Kinda annoying the one I didn't beat was the one left over from last year's list too. Never mind, there's always next year!

Don't feel bad. I beat one and then pretty much quit trying to play the list.

I was done a month ago, lost interest early this year for whatever reason. 7/10 is acceptable for me though, and I'm looking forward to playing a slew of horror games for when October rolls around.

Ehh I'm still stuck on dkc(since i'm still horrid at platformers with timing and such) so I only beat one. Of course the last month at work has been crazy and I lost the batteries for my gba in my room somewhere...probably just try to beat it on my gc player now but not as part of the challenge :-\
My gameroom

Don't feel bad. I didn't beat DKC for the first time until around 2012, after having played it on and off for years. I think it's the hardest of the trilogy.

The heck? Where did my three weeks of September go?? I didn't get a chance to play any games since school started, never mind Gunstar Heroes :(

Oh well. I'm just going to say that I'm going to call it quits, since Fall is soon and I doubt I'll have any time this weekend. But 6/10 isn't too bad, especially since this was my first Summer Games Challenge and I was a month late. I'll definitely want to do this again next year :)

But now I feel bad for not playing a thing and now I want to go do that ugh. (homework sucks)

I didn't have time to finish anything else.

5/12 isn't too bad, it certainly beats my last year tally of 1/10.

I'm gonna keep playing Shadow of the Colossus, though. That game has been magnificent so far.

I'll reflect on what I played a bit:
1. Shadow of the Colossus PS2
Great so far. Only 7 Colossi in, though.
2. Nightmare on Elm Street NES
I actually really like this game. I was glad I saw it to the end. I can see why people would say it's bad, but overall, I think it does some interesting things that are worth noting.

There's really only one section of the game that I think is absolute BS. But every game has that.
3. Omega Boost PS1
This game is awesome, but I didn't get around to actually finishing it. A little past half way through I have trouble keeping it together. That airshaft level kills me.
4. Spyro: The Dragon PS1
This was tons of fun. I played it with a pre-dual shock PS1 pad because all my DS1 controllers are messed up in some way. It was good, but, many aspects haven't aged well, but a lot of other aspects have aged very well.
5. Metroid Prime GCN
I want to like this game so much. But for me the balance in the game was just awful. I think the game is, overall, good. At times it feels awesome playing it. My main beef with this game is the boss fights. They're stupid unfair. I found that in some of the fights it came down to luck of the draw of what the game would decide as the pattern for that specific instance. That is a very clear sign that it isn't properly balanced.
6. Donkey Kong Country 3: Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! SNES
Couldn't procure a copy :(
7. Pikmin GCN
Didn't get around to it at all.
8a. Unfinished Zelda Games - The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker GCN
Didn't get to it at all.
8b. Unfinished Zelda Games - The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past SNES
Didn't finish it. Still stuck wherever I was 9 months ago.
8c. Unfinished Zelda Games - The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time N64
I was much further from the end than I thought I was. Ultimately, it wasn't very difficult, but I really enjoyed it. I really wish I stuck with this game when I originally played it. The funny thing is, I never got stuck in the Water Temple. I finished that easily back in 1998 ... but I got greatly confused by the Shadow Temple after it. Anyway, the game is great ... best ever made? I don't think so. But definitely one of the greats.
9. Jak and Daxter: The Precursor Legacy PS2
Was a lot of fun. It felt like a platformer that greatly relied on individual area settings than core mechanics. It has lots of 3D Platformer tropes that I wouldn't mind not seeing again. But the game overall was fun to play.
10. Skies of Arcadia DC
Didn't even come close to touching it :\
One thing I found out for sure, I need have an area set up to make my game playing more productive.

Well, that's it for this year. Hopefully, I'll have entirely different games to shoot for during 2015's Summer Challenge.

6 is a whole lot better than my 1 though(I only got around to super mario bros, and I'm still working on dkc(stopped so I could beat ff1) and i'm stuck on ff1 now  ). Maybe before next year I'll get another bit of them knocked out and have some other classics to beat. @crono I've got to agree with you there, though my probably is even getting around to beating them
