My library is on Reade Street. Cracks my wife up something fierce for some silly reason.

Wednesday is comic shop and library day, as the "shops" are just streets away from each other. The shops are also near the antique district, so it makes for a nice weekly trip.

It would be great if there was also a decent restaurant around those parts, but nay. Nay na nay nay. Places downtown demand upwards of twelve bucks for an oily sandwich. Spo many opportunities wasted. And I mean wasted as restaurants open and close within a span of a few years.

I've said it before, and will say it again...If I had the financial backing I would purchase the two screen theater downtown (owned by Carmike), tier the seats, and offer buck movies with an alcohol license and appetizers and dinners. Dinner and a movie, within walking distance from campus.

Plus, the disposable income college kids have these days. Holy fuck. When you spend 3k on books for one semester, $100 isn't much for a night out on the town.

My hurdle, and I've pitched this before, is that Carmike thinks any competition would drive business away from more "profitable" locations. They don't get the idea of incremental profit, which is so dumb in my eyeballs.

And MEMBERSHIP!!! Season passes equal money in the bank. You make money on the food, not the movies, so why not give kids season passes for a fixed amount. They'll probably order a beer of six anyway. And themed nights...I'm giving too much away here, but to me it's so paint by numbers that I see no reason for not opening a business like this in a college town.

just finished reading Mo' Meta Blues, and it was wonderful. Felt like an email from a friend, finally responding to my own inquiries that I had been sending since 1995.

also it's funny to me that I read two hip hop autobiographies this year - this and Prodigy's My Infamous Life - and both mentioned partying with Lindsay Lohan.

I can't quit you, babe.

Don't toy with his emotions.

Listened to Too Short Presents the Dangerous Crew.

Dear God it is horrible. Still better than a lil wayne album, as it does feature a rapping baby, but it's one of those albums where you constantly ask yourself "who thought this would be a good idea?". It reminds me a bit of the Violator album as it has zero consistency...it's just bad song after bad song (well, Violator had two good records on it). For funsies, take a peek at the track list:

Leave it alone
Welcome to the bay
Out for the props by shorty B
Gone with the wind by your homie pee-wee
Trouble (scared to blast)
Buy you some (aka what was erik sermon thinking?)
Rumors
Joe Riz, by Joe Riz (catchy, huh?)
Freddy B by freddy B (I see a pattern here)
Can I get loose (no question mark, so I get it's hypothetical)
You crossed me
Moan by About face
Funk session (featuring the guy who put the satin in your panties)
Weed break
Pimpin's just in me, by the street smart gangsta Doo doo brown. Yup. Doo doo brown.
I was only tryin' to get mine, by an emcee named Blacked Up.
Don't try this at home by shorty B. I wonder if shorty B and freddy B are related.

I feel like this comment is entirely an attempt at causing an argument.

Oh you.

You already know I can't stand lil wayne besides the fact he continuously pumps out diarrhea lyrics.

I do admire his strategy, as he is sheep's wool, but his music is garbage. I don't care that people like his music, but the guy is obviously playing gangsta which has caught up with him in horrendous ways. you wear that jacket, it catches up with ya.

If he didn't play dumb, I think he could possibly be a lyrical wizard. His noggin works, but he doesn't use it. I've heard the man speak off the record, and he always thinks a few steps ahead. I admire that.

Eh. He plays to his audience. He gives an honest effort to appeal to his fans, but he is capable of doing so much more than what he has done. I'd rather listen to a blender than one of his cd's.

That said, I'd read his autobiography, which I'm sure will be ghostwritten.
