We tried but the swarms of wizards make it pretty challenging. Ended up gaming the system and winning by not even entering the room.
If you mean Phogoth, yeah my fireteam managed to beat him after much cursing and QQ'ing. Main tactic was to never stop moving and ignore as best as we could the other enemies. A Titan with a shield for revives is handy as is a fusion rifle as it does the same damage to Phogoth from behind as it does anywhere else, unlike the rest of your arsenal.

What's this loot cave you speak of?

Edit: I think that the Cave of Wonders has been removed now. Either way, I'm not so desperate for purple engrams that I'm going to spend hours shooting blindly into a cave.

Speaking of purple engrams...

I should be on around Dave's midnight (my new unit to measure time).

So close to level 25, it hurts!

Spent most of the night lagging and disconnecting. Not fun. :|

Edit: To be clear, it's Bungie's fault. BABOON!

Latest update notes
The latest patch for Destiny reduces the difficulty of a number of activities, as well as fixes issues when completing the Vault of Glass.

Activities

Missions
-Shrine of Oryx: Reduced difficulty by removing majors from Heroic tiers
-Sword of Crota: Reduced difficulty by removing majors from Heroic tiers
-Exclusion Zone: Reduced difficulty by removing majors from Heroic tiers

Raids
-Dropping the relic at the end of the raid will no longer result in a team wipe. This will prevent players being stuck at a black screen after the raid.
-You will remain dead if you were dead when the mission ended. That will be addressed by a future patch.

the new Queen's missions apparently result in lots of legendary gear and are much lower level (I see one available at 24). You have to do some of her bounties first.

Em, if you are on and around ~12am-ish perhaps we could delve into her mission(s) for the first time together. If a third person is around the same level and wants to join in, perhaps we can make it a crew...

What do you say?

I soloed her mission today and got the Queens Guard Hood (+18 Light Legendary Helm) as an unlock when finished, was not too hard, however I noticed it wont let me replay it.

This morning I:

- Soloed the Queens Mission
- Hit Level 25
- Unlocked the Vault of Glass
- Hit Reputation 2 Vanguard
- Maxed my first subclass

Good morning I say.

If it will let me join your fireteam to do the mission I am all for it Dave, would love to try the weekly strike as well, I got to the end of it and got my ass handed to me like 10 times before I bailed.

The Queen's bounties are basically tickets for that mission with the legendary drop. So, the more bounties done the more times you get to replay it. At least that's what I've read.

Most of those bounties are pretty easy, even the twenty headshots in PvP didn't take too long.

Her missions become brutal without a good party (can't solo the second one).
