Quick warning!
Using the original Daytona USA with the 3D pad is problematic, since the game was made to work with the steering wheel, but not the 3D pad. The result is analog controll on the 3D pad that is EXTREMLY SENSETIVE. You will feel as if you are on ice.

It sure is impossible to control on the 3D pad, strange that sega rally plays pretty good on the 3D pad and that was also marked as being playable with the wheel not the control pad. I'm ptretty sure that the saturn can tell the difference between them so it must just be down to lazy coding in Daytona.
btw, I'm selling a pad on ebay...
Saturn 3D Pad
Postage to the states would be about £4 (cant remember exactly how much it weighed and I cant be arsed to go and fetch it now)

Ahh, so Night Striker does work with the 3D pad? I have a copy of the game on the way and that would be just awesome.d123456 wrote:Nights
Sega Rally, all other Sega racing games, some very early 3rd party games do not allow use of this.
Galaxy Force II
All Sega Ages analog arcade games.
Night Striker
That 3D Sega flight F-16 type of game, can't remember the name
It's late. keep this topic alive, perhaps others can join in.
Most games that you would expect have use for this, only early Saturn games do not support it.
I think this would make a hell of an article. 3D Saturn controller games!
Any specific genre you're interested in?

Re: saturn 3d control compitable games
Night Striker does indeed work with the 3D controller. Not only that, it mimics arcade game play - release the analog pad and the car returns to the center of the screen.
The only oddity is that the car is able to move beyond the boundaries of the play field. I assume this is because the game was originally intended for use with the Mission Stick, which has a square gate. The 3D pad has none.

Which of these games were made for use of the analog stick, rather than merely being compatible?Shy wrote:Here's a list of games I've compiled from the Madroms Saturn database that are listed as having a peripheral code of 'E'. As mentioned earlier, this denotes that a game is compatible with the analogue functionality of the 3D pad.
