I'm sure it can't, because I'm sure that if it could then Nintendo would have made the U capable of playing GCN games. The added expense of GCN controller and memory card ports would have not been worth it for Nintendo, I would think, but if the disc drive could read GCN discs then I'd bet they'd make a USB adapter. The PS3 had a USB adapter for PS2 memory cards, and we're getting a GCN USB adapter for Smash Bros, it's completely in the realm of possibility.

But so is everything in the land of What If.

Well, I didn't realize Hyrule Warriors was coming out this week. Bought me a WiiU this past weekend, because that game alone (to say nothing of Bayonetta 2, Toad: Treasure Tracker, and Mario Maker) is enough reason for me to finally make the leap.

And I've liked Dynasty Warriors for well over a decade now. Been playing it since 3 :D
Gunning for a licensed NES NTSC-U set, follow the madness and poverty here!
Cheat sheet of my collection, always looking to increase it. 405/677 licensed games, 46/"95" unlicensed

Hyrule Warriors is going to give me the grittier, more badass Link I've always wanted, instead of the cutesy, puzzle solving, mute kid.

The thought of kicking ass with Zelda is rather exciting too

Can't wait to hit 1000 KOs with my ass kicking princess :D

Hyrule Warriors will literally be the only thing I've played on Wii-U in months. It may end up being the only thing to justify the purchase, and I'm more excited about it than I would be a regular Zelda game.

Anyone else contemplating picking up Watch Dogs in November? Depending on if the port is significantly broken (hopefully not the case but you never know) or not, I'll be purchasing it. Never played it before but seems pretty interesting.

I'm not(already got it on the ps4  ) but if it's not broke i say go ahead....it's a pretty good game(and kinda wish it somehow rectifies my wish to see a overview of the city while playing the game and everything). It's a fun game that I will admit I want to get around to finishing...(dlc not withstanding)

This will be an interesting comparison to it's PS4 and XBO brethren. I'd imagine they could do some neat things with the gamepad. Is there any additional content that is included with this port (like some of the DLC)?

That is a good question. As far as I can tell it looks like this is just the original with some Wii U specific features like playing on the Gamepad screen. Has anyone heard differently?

Is it definitely coming out in November?

I own it on PS4 but I will probably buy the Wii U version to support third party releases. I'm also curious how it will turn out on the platform.
