Any of you guys like curry?

Post by tbeeghly »

We have a greasy little shithole of a curry house next to campus, and it's the greatest thing I've ever tasted. Chicken Jalfrezi has become my life blood. I have an Indian grocer near my house too, so I try and make it as often as I can too, but it's never as good as in the restaurant. My roommates and I make Japanese curry alot too, that's good, but not quite as good as Indian. What do you guys think?

Absolutely love Thai peanut curry with tofu, panang! Indian curry is amazing. There is a great all vegetarian Indian place with the most amazing curry. I pretty much eat only vegan, but I'll try any curry of that variety.

I'm a big fan of cocunut curry--any curry, really, but especially that.

As long as there's some sort of dead animal in it, I'll eat just about anything.

Hell, I'd even sample human if the opportunity presented itself.

Curry is great but don't make/eat too much of it in your place if you are a renter. More than one of my landlord friends have had HUGE problems getting the curry smell out of the place.... I think it just seeps in the walls or something.

My favorite place in Japan was KoKo Ichiban (sp). I got to level 8 hotness.

^I've been to Koko Ichiban - probably had Beef Curry, but I don't remember any levels of hotness so I probably had something standard. I am no expert at curry and can't tell you which ones are my favorite, but if curry is on a menu its almost always what I order.

Seriously great stuff. I'll eat anything spicy, so curry is definitely on the menu! Too bad most places around here don't make it very hot.

I'll second that.
