What was the last movie you've seen?

The Silence of the Lambs and American Psycho. Both are fantastic movies, but Silence quite obviously outshines Psycho. I want to watch the Watchman and then i'm gonna watch Hannibal.

Wait. What?

Burton is a target for satire and bad jokes, but I can't remember a time a note worthy critic named him a hack. Most of his films receive 4-star reviews across the board, so I'm totally amiss with this comment.

Please shed some light on this "A LOT of people call Burton a hack" stuff.

And not to piss in anyone's milk, but ya know what movie has more explosions than any MB movie? MARVEL'S THE AVENGERS. Count 'em.

"dsheinem" says stuff

Yeah yeah, I posted that years ago. Funny as all get out, but Burton isn't a hack.

The theme music part is comedy platinum though.

They feel way too long, most of the characters are so vapid they're almost non-existent and the only parts of the films I even slightly enjoyed, the action, were either too short or too muddled to keep my attention.

So, no Transformers, I don't care if your movie has a giant, metal T-Rex and a bunch of explosions in it. I can no longer bare to sit through the moments in-between.
Personally, I think Pacific Rim single handedly made the Transformers movies completely irrelevant (assuming one did not already consider them to be). Hell, even people I know who don't like Pacific Rim would still admit it does big giant robots fighting stuff better than Bay's movies.

One of the best things about PR was that you could actually tell what was going on in the fights. Some people have criticized PR's fights for being too slow, but I'll take that over Michael Bay's crazy, frantic, can't tell what the fuck is going on battles.

That's one thing in a lot of action movies nowadays, having scenes where its hard to follow the action. Shaky cam and lighting have a lot to do with it, and in the case of Transformers, too much shiny metal. If they had more of the bright colors and less chrome pieces, it might have been a bit easier to follow.

Avengers may have more explosions than Transformers, but Avengers is, well, good.

This is true.

Michael Bay is great at what he does even though no one on the internet, myself included, seems to like his movies.

Dude sells tickets.

You have no idea how stupid his moves seem if you are not American

My major problem with his TF movies are the transformers themselves...

I'm also not a fan of the designs, but honestly it ended up being the least of the stuff I didn't like.

My point exactly.

You watched at least one of the movies.

People: "Transformers is awful"

Me: So you heard it was awful but you still watched it?

People: Um, yes.

It gets even funnier when people say this:

People: Transofrmers was terrible.

Me: So I doubt you'll see the sequels.

People: Oh no. I'm definitely going to see the sequels so I have something to complain about.

People slay me. These same people watch the Twilight series.
