SNESdrunk reviews
Re: SNESdrunk reviews
It's not as dark as Super Castlevania IV, but man, I always thought Dracula X was really pretty. I think it does a good job of showing mechanically where the Castlevania series came from while visually giving a hint as to where it was headed.

So I'm working on a review for Demon's Crest and... am I alone in thinking this game just isn't that good? It's decent enough but playing the same boring levels over and over does not make for a good game.

Will this be a "Why the Hype" where you walk on screen, shrug, say "i 'unno" and walk off screen? Because that would be hilarious.

I was seriously considering doing something like that for Super Mario World. "Because it's Super freaking Mario World!" fin
But super mario world is fun! (it really is though...I just suck at it...yoshi's island is better imo though)

Super Mario World is the bland brother of Super Mario Bros 3. Super Mario Land 2 was a far better game than it too.
It feels more like a direct sequel to Super Mario Bros

It's a completely different kind of game, but I can respect that opinion, and in a way also agree.
It's a differently paced game, but it is REALLY REALLY REALLY good.

Re: SNESdrunk reviews
Yeah, its quite different.
I just liked that Nintendo actually evolved their platformer. SMB is great, and SMB3 takes that and perfects it. World... didn't really do anything to the formula. If anything it dumbed it down. But Island comes and forgives all that, and gives you some of the most sublime controls I've ever experienced in a platformer.
Its borderline insulting that SMW2 is plopped in its title.
