He's just about everything wrong with Hollywood.

Take spencer from laguna beach, inflate that ego a thousand fold, actually take away 3/4's of spencer's "talent", add a few pounds of coke, add another ten thousand neck ties, multiply the bravado ten fold, and you are half way to max landis.

I've known plenty of "YOU don't know who I AM? Do YOU know who MY DAD is?" people, but this kid takes the cake. He takes it, doesn't pay for it, and stiffs you with the bill for said cake. If max doesn't have herpes by now it is because herpes does not want to associated with max landis.
How do you really feel though?

Wow, this Max character must be a real piece of work. I don't even know who he is, or what show he is attached to but that is some serious hate mail.

Okay, I know nothing about this guy besides the video, so I'm a bit confused here.

Isn't everybody pretty much agreeing with him that the name isn't the best choice? Or is it the way he discussed it in the video that's the problem? Or is it just him as a person?

I don't like the title either, just to say. Its not really well thought out, and does come off racist.

300: Rise of an Empire

Zack Snyder's 300 was stylish, cool, and jam-packed full of Frank Miller's grit. I recently watched 300: Rise of an empire. I expected this to be more of the same; it wasn't.

I'm trying to find kind words to describe this movie; none spring to mind. Here's what does spring to mind when I think back on this miscarriage of a film: mediocre action, poor effects, cgi chest muscles, and the unsexiest sex scene in cinema history. The worst part was the dialog. The phrase, "Ham-fisted" doesn't even begin to describe this mess. It seems like the actors just ad-libbed all the lines as they went along.

I looked up the director on imdb. His name is Noam Murro. He's known for directing... not much. I wonder if Noam even watched 300. It seems like someone wrote a brief description of 300 on a napkin, handed the napkin to Noam, and said, "here you go. Make a sequel."

This is the poorest sequel I have had the misfortune of watching in some time.

Verdict: Avoid.

You could make many valid points about Greek history, no doubt, but 300 was never about telling an accurate account of history. It's just Hollywood, not history.

oh I'm not debating history, of course it's hollywood it's going to be bullshit. But this was the defining characteristic of each city's "military strength".

hm.....it's like making a movie about WW2 and showing that the Nazis won battles cause of the big sacrifices they made and cold weather, and the Soviets won battles thanks to their superior tactics and fast tank movement.

You can use fantasy scenarios in movies, I'm just saying you can do it without using eye poking ones

You know a movie is bad if it manages to ruin titties.
