I disagree. The show has a name that represents an issue with identity in African American culture: what constitutes being "black" versus being "white". Black individuals who are seen as behaving too "white" will sometimes be denigrated for it in the community and called terms like "oreo" and such. The show Blackish looks to be about an African American family that lives in the suburbs and acts similarly to the same way that a stereotypical white suburban family would, meaning they would be open for criticism for "not being black enough" while still being black. Gonna have to agree with tstr...I just don't get hwo they come up with the names. I guess it fits the show but it still sounds stupid as a name(and from the commercials, it doesn't look like it's going to be very entertaining...maybe corny but not entertaining)

Take spencer from laguna beach, inflate that ego a thousand fold, actually take away 3/4's of spencer's "talent", add a few pounds of coke, add another ten thousand neck ties, multiply the bravado ten fold, and you are half way to max landis.
I've known plenty of "YOU don't know who I AM? Do YOU know who MY DAD is?" people, but this kid takes the cake. He takes it, doesn't pay for it, and stiffs you with the bill for said cake. If max doesn't have herpes by now it is because herpes does not want to associated with max landis.
