I'm making a thread about this game because it is easily looked over, and shouldn't be. The unassuming graphics of simple hexagons and numbers could easily lead one to think nothing of the game based on screenshots alone, but I would highly urge you to play this game. To date, there is Hexcells, Hexcells Plus, and the recently released Hexcells Infinite. While I've only played through the first title, the others are largely just additions of new puzzles, except for Infinite, which also can procedurally generate a seemingly endless amount of new puzzles (thus the title).
This game is a bit like Minesweeper, but if you're smart enough, you can solve the puzzles without any trial and error guessing. There are also more Sudoku style rules to the logic of the puzzles than what is found in Minesweeper. And though Minesweeper and Sudoku are the most obvious analogies, I don't actually like those games, but I love Hexcells. There's a beautiful ambiance to puzzle solving created by a lovely soundtrack, and musical notes that drop when you click on puzzle pieces. And the puzzles have a right answer that is challenging to find, but highly rewarding. Don't let this game go unnoticed.
