I have no clue what to think about my Bears this year. Difficult to tell if they're playing well or if their opponents are playing lousy.

For now I'll sit back and enjoy it, but they don't seem like NFC Champ caliber. Possibly division champs if they keep it up. Weird times when the Bears D sucks full hoover and a hurry up offense actually produces.

Do you watch the games? They are getting pressure with their front 4 and never have to blitz, ie, aren't giving up plays down the field. Every time the QB drops back he's throwing into 6-7 man coverages. They are getting picks, and a ton of near picks and deflections. In addition to the 2 picks last week they forced 6 fumbles last game. 4 recovered by offense, 1 recovered by bears, 1 recovered by bears but player out of bounds. The week before was similar in 'Frisco.

This defense is playing almost exactly the same as the 05-07 defenses and it's fun to watch again. Front 4 pressure, allow the little stuff, ball-hawk each and every play, tighten up at the goal-line.

Not really. As sad as it sounds, once I stopped gambling on games I stopped paying attention to detail. These days I just look at numbers, which doesn't always speak volume.

So Bill Simmons got suspended for doing his job. Way to go Disney.

Was bound to happen one of these days, but hell if ESPN didn't know what they were getting with Simmons. No mistake about it, with brilliance comes strong and nearly indestructible opinions.

On web forums, not so much, but face to face I love a good debate. What I wouldn't give to have an argument with Bill Simmons.

Also sounds like last year's 'hawks. We lost some key guys up front this year and I think it's causing the turnovers not to happen as much as last year.

I've only seen him do nba and he seemed like the odd one out of the four commentators. I could tell though that he was the type to speak his mind about players or whatever.

Bill Simmons lost all of his charm when he became known. He became arrogant and susceptible to the power of suggestion. When he was a common man, writing blogs, and his first books, he was very enjoyable to read and listen to.

He's since bought into his act so much he's a character, not a columnist or writer. I stopped reading him when his NBA column became a charicature of itself.

I fully endorse ESPN's decision. He literally, (yes literally), on air, multiple times, dared them to suspend him. He cursed, multiple times, and dared his bosses to suspend him. They should fire him. A once funny, clever, common man is now a pretentious blowhard. Good riddance.
