Love it or HateLeave it:

Atari Lynx
Sega Master System
3DO

Those are the only consoles I've ever purchased and then gotten rid of. I recognize the SMS on this list is a little blasphemous, and I played it a decent amount (certainly more so than the other two).

They both fall in the "ehhh you're mediocre with a handful of decent games" category for me. At least the RPGs on the SCD were legit.

....so when I made the thread & said "hate" I obviously didn't mean that to be 100% literal. If your stuck on that word think of it as "Love it or extremely dislike" lol.
I still want to try a sega cd one of these days, a pawn shop near me when I was doing runs to them for games carried a small collection of them. Only thing is I'm trying not to collect games for something I don't own(even though I already have a few dreamcast ones due to seeing them at goodwill one day  ). Sega cd just seems like one of those things that it's interesting to look at especially for what good games it did get even if it was a inbetween generations thing. Not to mention the same kinda goes for 32x but still I'm getting more intrigued by this sega stuff as time goes on :?

Wha???? You mean you don't regularly play the "Great" sports games on the Sega Master System?

Perhaps it is due to my own fond memories of having a 3DO during it's actual release, but I never understand how people can't find enjoyment in that console. All my friends had a ps1 and they still loved playing my 3DO when they would come over. My local gaming store supported the console well and had great prices on the games at the time, so perhaps I had a better experience than some others with it. I still find that I enjoy many of the games for more than just nostalgic value today though.

It's not fair for me to say I hate the 3DO, but I'd take the Atari Jaguar over it any day.
Although I'll admit to being mildly curious about Slayer and Deathkeep.
I was jealous of SSF2T and Samurai Shodown for a time, but those 2 games are better played elsewhere these days.

So for Love it or Ignore it:
Atari Jaguar gets my vote.
Tempest 2000 and Alien vs Predator are the stars, of course. But other games have a definite appeal too.
Oddly, I have no interest in the Jag CD.

Otherwise, I like Sega CD and Sega 32X.

Most other Love or Hate consoles, I enjoy.
...and for the record, I like the N64 and Dreamcast controllers.
...just another lost soul...

I am surprised as well! For me, I think the Sega CD is probably one of the biggest, "Love it or Hate it," consoles. For me, I absolutely adore the system, mostly because I have a deep-seated love for FMV games, so the appeal is there. I still feel that a lot of them play great. Whenever you see people complaining about games like Supreme Warrior, it is, because they don't have a manual and don't have the patience to figure out how to play.

Shame on them....they are missing out on the best First-Person-Full-Motion-Video-Fighting-Game ever made!!!!!!

I would say you got lucky then. I never saw one back when they were released. I picked one up a few years ago, and there are some features I definitely like, but I've never taken the time to really explore it and only have two games for it, Starblade and Syndicate. I intended to pick up Alone in the Dark for it but just never got around to it.

And I love the Nintendo 64. Despite a relatively small library for its generation, there are some interesting titles hidden within, some great games that only appear on that console, and some ports that have entertaining features not found in other versions.

I am with you on this one. The Nintendo 64 certainly is not Nintendo's strongest system - and its library pales in comparison to the PS1's - but it does have some really interesting exclusives. Moreover, it is my system of choice for its generation when it comes to 3D platformers and first-person shooters.
