Actually makes for a good sub topic, best Marvel games for specific characters. X-Men Legends II had some kind of bug or glitch in it that made Nightcrawler quite possibly the best character in the game, or a top 3 character at the very least. He was very fun to play too. I don't know that there's any better game for Nightcrawler fans to play.

Songbird, Thor and Human Torch were pretty OP in Ultimate Alliance 2 and Mr Fantastic, Human Torch and Dr Doom were in UA1.

Phoenix dominated early Marvel Vs Capcom 3 tournaments with her horrible resurrection move and Magneto and Doom have become two of the most common characters in high level play since Ultimate MvC3, especially god damn Doctor Doom. Dormammu and Nova are pretty handy as well. Out of all the true heavyweights, only Thor got the short end of the stick. Even MODOK is a more viable character.

In MvC2 it was all about Magneto, Storm and Sentinel. And curleh mustaches.

It's been a while but the original X-Men on Genesis was so awesome back in the day. Sure, we didn't have anything else to compare it to (the NES game is widely considered junk) and with the popularity of the comics + TV series, it was a big deal.

I remember really liking the graphics but not being enamored with the idea of a decreasing (but rechargeable) mutant power bar. You did have to be cognizant of walking around with Wolverine's claws out and strategize accordingly.

Now I want to replay this and give those other ones a try.
