Dsh carried me through Phogoth with some random. The friend I was playing with had to go. Guess it was late since she's over in EU.

So like the match up stuff in the crucible...it says 1-3 or 1-6 players. Will it autoplace you in a party or can you end up hung out to dry being like 1 on 3 or something dumb?

It will always try to put you with a full squad but I've had times when two people either left or were booted and it was like 4v6 or something. Nothing too major though. And the Strikes cannot be started without having a three man fireteam even if it's randoms.

Well I might have to look into it then, though at lv8 I think I'd be in trouble.

I helped a little, but can't say I was very impressed by my own performance either  . That, to my mind, is perhaps the hardest of the Strike missions in the whole game.

I finished the main campaign this weekend and am working on trying to build my level with light now, enjoying some runs on harder difficulties, dipping into the crucible, etc. I've hit the 24 hour mark now, too, at an even quicker clip than I did with Titanfall (which I also binged on the week it came out to hit the level cap). I feel like there's still a lot more to do with Destiny, though, so that's good...

That is the moon strike right? That one is tough, spent some time failing that one last night. One other guy and I lasted almost through the 3rd wave twice but couldnt quite stay alive. Then I tried it with 2 more randoms and they died almost instantly every time just on the melee guys and never made it past the first wave of Knights.

I hate Knights, they hit too freaking hard. I tend to whip out a rocket launcher and solve that problem first before dealing with the rest.

Yup.

I found the trick is actually to mostly ignore the spammed enemies (knights, wizards, thrall, etc.) and instead run around taking pot shots at the giant monster as much as possible. It is also a good idea to hide behind the big metal rectangles on either side of the arena as much as possible or to sit up on the ledge for a bit when it is clear. The more you and your two compatriot can keep circling and this dividing the attention of the enemy, the better.

Oh, and don't ever go back in the hallway where the strike starts - that's a very good way to die after a few seconds of relief!

I wonder if they changed the balance in the Earth strike at all. It seemed easier than in the beta. I remember the first time I ran it in the beta, captains kept spawning behind us while we were trying to take out the purple glowy orb.

Yea I did Phogoth again last night w/ a few friends. Went pretty smoothly. Took a few tries. The things that get me killed in that fight are the Wizards when they start spawning. Everything else is pretty easy now. Lvl15 Warlock.

Anyone else going to be doing raids? My group has 4 out of 6 for raids. Need 2 more people.
