Yes games most definitely still stretch the limits of the hardware. Many did it the last few years of the past generation.

Metro 2033 was pretty eyecandylicious. Don't forget, too, that if you aren't the type who keeps a high end PC you're less likely to see the real limits of boundary pushing.

Metro 2033 was under $20 at Walmart yesterday, I almost picked it up. I guess I might be going back to grab it. Boundry pushing within the constraints of what the hardware is capable of. It isn't really as impressive if I need a $3000 pc to run it. Not in my opinion anyway.MrPopo wrote:Metro 2033 was pretty eyecandylicious. @Dsh, those sound good. I already own Bioshock Infinite and haven't gotten around to trying it out. I guess that is my first stop. The Last of Us looks really good but I'll need to get my PS3 up and in commission before I can try it. Is it available digitally?

Okay, okay, to clarify, we have more than two in the house, but only two come to mind as "mine," as in, "games I bought myself or was given as a gift and feel personally attached to enough to play every so often." Although just Hobie reminded me (in a similarly horrified personal message
Are you moved by my sad situation? Do you want to help your Racketbrother out and donate to her SNESucation? And do you have an extra copy of Secret of Mana hanging around?
I kid, I kid. To be serious, though, I wish I had known SNES players growing up, or had people around me currently who played, because that's how I'd get interested enough in games to buy them. Borrowing from friends.
And now, back to the actual topic.
