Le~gasp! I didn't even think about this, but have now added it to my Retron5 feature wish-list. Being able to play games at night while other people are trying to sleep would be awesome.
Yeah I don't even know why I thought of it other than the fact my maxwell soundbar is bluetooth compatible(which means I may be able to jerry-rig a setup until I can purchase a switch that will audio out in optical, rca, or even 3.5). I still need to take down my nes and snes, besides being able to play ToP I think those systems are just using up space right now taht would make my room look less cluttered

A word of warning. SMS saves will be erased when inserted into the R5. At least that was my experience.

The video jitters are not limited to DKC. While playing SMB3 on All-Stars+World pack, it started doing the same thing after about 30 minutes of play time. Pulling up the Retron5 menu and backing out fixed it just like for DKC. It almost seemed like it was skipping frames.

EDIT:
Application: 2.0 BETA 1 (build 1599)
System Software: v0.2.2

I had played Super Puyo Puyo for about an hour before hand and didn't experience any video issues.

2.0 BETA 4 is out just so you know. There's been more compatibility fixes in them.

Yeah, I've been keeping up with the news. Just super lazy... :P
Updating it tonight since some of my Japanese games came in. Saw Fire Emblem and Tales at our local game store, but they wanted WAY too much.

The beta might as well be a real release. They just decided to go with public betas a lot more than private ones. I don't remember the reasoning but considering what all is being fixed in these it does make sense from that angle. The V1.X cycle really was about the grand repairs, and the 2.X seems to be refining features, extras and fluff while still fixing legit game based issues too.

You're gonna need the latest if you expect to play those Japanese carts you ordered in English.

In my experience it always takes twice as long for these packages to get from New York to Maine than from Japan to New York.

I'll be testing a small amount of patches next time I have some games arrive.

Anyone who wants to know specifically what patches I am using, just ask.
