Like others in this thread, I got a case of import fever right now. I put in another order for some more Famicom imports with Senseiman in the trading forum. I highly recommend him if you guys are up for some Famicom games that are very reasonably priced. Can't wait for my copy of Holy Diver to arrive!

Darn you now that you mentioned that I'm going to have to sort through that thread for games  Now i just need to figure out what the heck to do with my tales of phantasia repro I don't think i'm going to have any use for it if I find a actual cart...

Does your Tales repro use new real parts or is it a hack job? I'm sure if it's all good fresh parts someone will happily take it as not everyone has or wants the R5. Hell I'd be tempted but I'm also trying to save up at the moment too. The GBA game is just so badly done I'd like to experience it correctly.

Senseiman is a great guy to buy off of. I got stuff from him before and it arrived quickly enough for Japan, packaged very nicely too, and it wasn't all grubby either. Also hashirya(sp?) is another living in Japan who has a nice nice list of stuff the R5 could use (famicom/sfc/gba) worth looking at and his prices and shipping are solidly well set too.

Aside from them I have 3 ebay sellers in the states I follow I've picked up the famicom goodies I have off of so I've pulled games from most five sources to this point and they're all reliable. I snapped up most my roughly 20 titles pre-R5 release and don't regret it, just happened to end up with a famicom converter for the first time early this year.

ooooooooooooo that's game is wicked hard. I beat it several years back on the Super Mario Bros Deluxe cart for GBC. It nearly killed me. Very cool though, now we just need a hack to turn Batman Return of the Joker into Mr. Gimmick, lol.

I really want to say it's new parts, know the store I bought it at said they have to make molds and everything to make them. I enjoy it but dang is it annoying that it's not recognized in r5(even if it recognized it as a super fami game which would be nice). Definitely will have to look into those sellers, since I'm really wanting to play those games we never got and the ones that are insanely cheaper than the US release

I'd sell it and then grab an authentic Japanese version. Works well in the R5 with the patch.

Just a few things. Beta 2 should be coming to an end shortly and be official.

SMS games, SRAM doesn't work, he doesn't have the carts to analyze to add this to the system so if you own Phantasy Star, Ys or Miracle Warriors, that's why.

As for my SMB2 issue and others, US office has the game, tested it on their hardware and it works, so for those where it failed (me) it's a problem and I guess a replacement will come out to me in return.

PNG -- added in the dev build, guess this will pop up sooner than later for those who aren't fans of JPG.

GBC -- Color selection works including auto selection for certain games based on the GBC database(I'm guessing this means games with preset colors in the GBC bios such as Kirby DL2, Metroid, Street Fighter II, etc will do as they did on the GBC.)

This section of betas seems to really be a beef up for the system, especially just with patches...I was going to get the system anyways to save space but that made it a must have. Now if they added support for bluetooth headphones(and I did get around to buying some...because wired ones suck with my job) that would a nice adition(even bluetooth speaker even )

Le~gasp! I didn't even think about this, but have now added it to my Retron5 feature wish-list. Being able to play games at night while other people are trying to sleep would be awesome.
