Sadly, a whole mess of them moulted at the same time. Only one Ghost Mantis remains, but she is super strong and is VERY friendly. She's certainly the most active mantis I have kept so far.
While cleaning out one of the rooms in the place we're staying out. We found a MASSIVE aquarium that the landlord said I could use. If I do get this job I plan on filling it with all sorts of critters. I've been wanting some Tailless Whip Scorpions for some time now. I know somebody who has some that are "damaged" that need a good home.
Luke wrote:Can you feed the Tailless Whip Scorpions an assortment of insects, or do they mainly eat crickets?
Primarily I feed my arthropods crickets since crickets are like rabbits of the insect world (That's also the reason I don't culture crickets in fear of infestation). However, my daughter and I like to go insect hunting outside, so I'll bring home a special snack for them every now and then. So yeah, I feed them just about whatever I can find.
We avoid feeding them insects like roaches. House pests are often already poisoned or have been in contact with a poison of some kind. It could make the pet insect sick or even worse.
Just got a call from an obvious scammer impersonating the IRS. I was away from the phone so the answering machine caught it. Anyways a guy with possibly the heaviest Indian accent I have ever heard pops on and immediately starts threatening to have us arrested by local police and deported unless we settle our debts with them. Was an obvious scam but I just found it to be hilarious that their go to threat is to deport a natural born US citizen .
Anyways reported the dumb asses to the treasury department. I kind of wish they were in the U.S. as their number claimed so that they could find out what deportation is like first hand.
Apparently they have been doing this since August 26th on that same number according to comments online. Kind of surprises me that the number(202-239-1063) is still up.

I luckily have my 360, although replaying old games is dragging. I need to get something new, but I really want to get everything else 7th gen on PS3 besides the SHMUPS, so IDK what to do about that situation.
You are at A&M now right? I went to A&M, and had a blast. There is some adjustment, especially for you with some of your past comments. But they have movie clubs, classics car club, and I even believe a retro gaming group. Then it is all about getting a group of friends. Many of my college buddies are now some of my best friends.
I'm slowly working on the meeting people part, I'm still getting in the swing on hitting all the classes and such.
Absolutely no chance for an A in Chem Lab now though, I left my goggles in my truck, and if you don't have them you can't do the experiment or make it up, so that's 80 points down the drain.
I recently posted a quote from drag performer Coco Peru on Facebook. The quote is:
"Admitting and owning that you’re fucked up is one of the most liberating and healthy things that a person could do for oneself. In fact - and this is important - it’s the people that are fucked up who don’t think they’re fucked up that are fucking up the world."
And today when I checked my Facebook it said that Miss Coco Peru liked it!
I know that it's not really a big deal that a celebrity that I quoted on Facebook liked the post in question, but still!
But other than that I'm dealing with a cold ( ) and my nose is congested and running.
last night, about 1:00am, i woke up to the sound of my neighbor beating on my door. i answered and she was limping, crying, and basically hysterical. all she said was "he took my phone, i need to call the police." and that was enough for me. so i called 911, they showed up, and took the guy to jail. apparently they got into a really, really terrible altercation (i'm not going to divulge the details here) but it was the worst thing to happen to me in a while. and it didn't even happen to me. i felt terrible for her and stayed with her while the police arrived and until they left. told her to call me if she needed anything. i will never understand why people beat up their significant others.

Damn dude. I'm glad you were there to help her out. That's fucking disgusting.
Thanks for being an excellent person in that situation. Seriously. Although it's awful that these horrendous things happen, it's good to know that there are also people out there like you who are willing to step in and help at the drop of hat.
