Re: What are you playing?
I'm gonna keep playing it for a little while longer, I just groan at stuff like 'hit square here' instead of creating a game where I'm equipped to do/figure it out myself

Re: What are you playing?
Probably my most-played game on the 32X. I never knew they released it in a PS2 comp. I need to hunt that one down.prfsnl_gmr wrote:I have been playing the PS2 port of Virtua Racing recently. (It is contained in the Sega Classics Collection compilation.) The game looks great - those untextured polygons have actually aged pretty well - and it is still very, very fun (and very, very fast). After a lot of practice, I was able to take first place on the "Big Forest" track last night, and I suspect I will be able to win the "Bay Bridge" track soon. The advanced "Acropolis" track is going to take some practice, however.

Re: What are you playing?
You should. Most of the games in the collection are very mediocre remakes (e.g., Golden Axe). Some of the remakes are pretty faithful to the original games (e.g., Fantasy Zone), and some are actually better than their arcade counterparts (e.g., Alien Syndrome). Virtua Racing falls into the last category. The PS2 port included in the compilation includes an "arcade" mode with the three original tracks and a "grand prix" mode with some additional tracks, cars, and features. Moreover, the PS2 port looks almost identical to its arcade counterpart and runs at a higher framerate. The end result is actually pretty stunning.retrosportsgamer wrote:Probably my most-played game on the 32X. I never knew they released it in a PS2 comp. Re: What are you playing?
Started Diablo 3 (PS4) the other day. I'm only level 12 or so, but it's great so far.
Also still working on Ninja Ryukenden 3 (Ninja Gaiden 3) for Famicom. I'm on the 3rd phase of the final boss so should be finishing it up pretty soon.
Started Super Mario World (SNES) yesterday. Haven't played this since the early 90's. Maybe one of the greatest platformers of all time? We'll see.

I just replayed it myself a month back or so. Definitely had a blast all over again.graffix_13 wrote:Started Super Mario World (SNES) yesterday. Haven't played this since the early 90's. Maybe one of the greatest platformers of all time? We'll see.

Yeah...sounds strange but it's like I finally appreciate just how good the game is.Xeogred wrote:I just replayed it myself a month back or so. It was my very first SNES game (since it came with the system). I think I bought it a few days after it came out (August, 1991). I remember begging my parents to let us buy the SNES (my brother and I pooled our money together).
Anyways, in August of '91 I was 14 so by that time the Mario games were 'kiddish' games to me. I really kind of looked over Super Mario World and took for granted just how good of a GAME it was.

Re: What are you playing?
I've been playing Diablo III on PS4. This game is seriously consuming me. I had it on the PC at launch and it was pretty broken, IMO. I beat it on Normal then started again on Hard before eventually getting bored. However, the two years and several patches have fixed the game and I have to say I absolutely love it now. I can't tell you the last time that I was so fixated on a game that I would get up early before work to play or really even play a game during the week at all.
My family loves it too. I have a character that I play only with my wife and a solo character. My four year old daughter plays too. The game is lenient enough that we she can walk around with me and attack stuff that she comes across. I can do the heavy lifting and pick up loot, which is evenly divided between the whole party. Also, she gets XP from the things I kill.
I'm pretty smitten with the game at this point. I see myself dumping a hell of a lot of time into it.

Re: What are you playing?
Man, I agree. This is my first Diablo game and I'm really enjoying it. Playing a Barbarian and I'm level 15. I'm playing on Normal although I should probably jack it up to Hard (tempting since there is the xp bonus for higher difficulties). I like fighting a bunch of mobs at once and just going to town on them.Frag Mortuus wrote:I've been playing Diablo III on PS4. This game is seriously consuming me. I'm going to play Crusader on my Hardcore run.

Re: What are you playing?
Yeah, dude. I started playing on normal until midway through act 2 and jumpedd it up to expert and am crushing stuff. I haven't even come close to dying. I would advise you to switch it. You will get better loot, xp and gold.graffix_13 wrote:
