I think pretty much everything has region-specific digital marketplaces, but far as I know, Nintendo is the only one locking out physical media.darsparx wrote: Vita(you have to reformat, and possibly have two cards so might as well call it that since that's a lot of hassle to switch regions)...and I'm pretty sure there was some other but I've forgotten
Re: Nintendo 3DS
The Vita is region free for physical media, afaik.
Re: Nintendo 3DS
I read that it's supposedly just the original remix on Wii which got really mixed reviews from people since it's kind of sketchy in quality and consistency compared to its sequel.noiseredux wrote:Ultra NES Remix coming to 3DS!

I hope it's both in one purchase.Tanooki wrote:I read that it's supposedly just the original remix on Wii which got really mixed reviews from people since it's kind of sketchy in quality and consistency compared to its sequel.noiseredux wrote:Ultra NES Remix coming to 3DS!
I have both for the U and I don't really enjoy them much. Haven't played more than 5-10 minutes of either. But they seem like the PERFECT handheld game, with its short burst playing style. Even tho I don't enjoy it on the U, I would definitely rebuy them on the 3DS.
Re: Nintendo 3DS
I think they'd be more usable on the handheld anyway, it's the new generation of sorts of Wario Ware. Bite sized challenges with a high score tally for it.

Re: Nintendo 3DS
So we are 3.5 years into the 3DS's lifecycle and the console has sold about 45 million units.
....the sales are really good for any console really, but....at this rate it probably won't reach the sales of the GBA.
I know it's unfair to compare it to past generations, but it is a bit sad to see the market shrink so much
. It's probably selling at the best rate possible, but the tablet/smartphone gaming craze has just made too big of a dent in its potential market.

Well that and some of it is a ton of people like me who don't buy the consoles new(like I'd rather do and will probably do with the new 3ds when it comes out hopefully). Or even those that go out and try and get the system when it first comes out, and end up getting one for a over the top price over msrp because they can't wait for more to ship out(just look at some of the retron 5 sales on ebayZeroAX wrote:So we are 3.5 years into the 3DS's lifecycle and the console has sold about 45 million units.

Those people are not a new phenomenon. Used DS and Gameboy sales didn't stop those 2 from selling more units than the population of Japan.darsparx wrote: Well that and some of it is a ton of people like me who don't buy the consoles new
