Help!

Post by masonyes »

I'm trying to switch the hard-drives from my old computer to new computer. However one of the screws connected to the hard-drive will not reach contact with my screw driver because of a metal bar I have to reach it from an angle as you can see in the picture.

You know that story, about how NASA spent millions of dollars developing this pen that writes in Zero G? Did you ever read that?
You know how the Russians solved the problem?
They used a pencil.

Worst drawing ever. I'm ganna guess you are removing it from some retail PC with non-standard case structure. They do that crap all the time. All you can do is get creative with whatever tools you have.

Or get destructive. That works sometimes too.

You can get an L shaped screw driver, I've seen those floating around.

just take the hard drive bracket out of the case. most are screwed in to begin with anyways. if not, do you really need that screw?

Have to agree with Moz, that is a really awful drawing. And really funny as well. Anyways make your tool, bend a screw driver to meet your needs. Use a vice, be smarter than bracket your trying to remove. Thats what my teacher used to say and it makes sense.
