I've been a fan of Megaman for 20+ years and still haven't tried those.

Well Kenji Inafune DID make the Battle Network series to get his son into Megaman

I don't feel the series has anything to do with Megaman, but it good overall, just too repetitive to survive 6 games in 5-7 years.

Seemed worth it to me without 6 games it wouldn't be complete (just wish it was easier to get the dub dvds that would encompass the whole series...i freaking miss the show...) :?

Now Star Force, on the other hand, I just can't stand. It took away the majority of the strategy from the Battle Network games; you can now only move across a 3-square column instead of the 3x3 grid. I just couldn't get into it, but I really, really, REALLY wanted to. :(

Anyone else kinda psyched for this mini-renaissance that survival horror seems to be about to go through? Alien Isolation, The Evil Within, Resident Evil 7, the Resident Evil remake on current-gen consoles, Resident Evil Revelations 2, Silent Hills...

The future is looking bright for this genre again!

Can we really call Resident Evil "survival horror" any more? It's not really scary at all, and it's not nearly as big on the whole you-don't-have-enough-ammo-or-supplies thing, either. Zombies no longer equal horror.

Depends on the style the game is made in. Is it akin to RE5/6? If so, then no, it's an action game. However, if it's truly a remake of the first game, then I assume that the emphasis will be on survival horror instead of blowing everything to pieces with a rocket launcher and an unkillable NPC.

Um, hate to spoil it Retrogamer but the REmake is just getting an HD remaster, nothing more.

It's lazy and more proof Capcom is hurting bad. RE7 has never officially been announced so I think as far as we know the only true new game they're developing right now would be Revelations 2.

Instead of taking the lazy way out, it sure would be nice if they HD remastered 2-3, but that's probably hopeless at this point.
