Basically, I got a bumpy rash a above my ankle. I am not sure what it is. Haven't gotten a rash since I was a kid.
My first guess was poison ivy or poison oak. Because I went fairly deep inside some bushes and trees at my apartment complex to get a baseball that was thrown in there. And that is around the time I remember getting this rash.
Then I started to think it might be bed bugs? Or some sort of other insect bite? I am iffy on this one because I can honestly say, my family and I keep a clean place. No shoes inside. Vacuum every week. No pets. Only eat at the dinner table even if it's a small snack. All the beds (including mine), have sheets and whatever you call that protective sheet under your sheets. And we have a exterminator that comes every 2 weeks.
I thought bed bugs were microscopic bugs you couldn't see. Too my surprise, on the interwebz, I found out they are very visible. If I haven't seen one, I don't think I would have any? And on top of that, the only pics I could find of bed bugs bites looked like dime-sized mosquito bites, except they are much more red. The bumps I have are much more smaller than that.
The reason I haven't ruled out bed bugs or any other insect bite, is because sources say the bites/bumps are done in 3-5 bites in a straight trail. Which is sort of how mine looks. So if it wasn't done at my place, I could have got bitten at another place or while i was out playing baseball.
And if it was poison ivy, I think it would have spread some more, b/c I did scratch it. The rash did look like it got bigger over a couple of days, but not that much bigger. My memory may be crap, but I remember poison ivy causing the skin to flake, which mine is not.
Conclusion: I am leaning towards it being poison ivy, because this is more of a rash. While bed bugs (from the pics I saw), are usually just bites. Mine is more of a rash, dark/red bumps with redness in between.
Here are some pics of bed bug bites that I found (my rash looks nothing like these):
