Made my first purchase from them a few days ago. Was impressed with the free shipping on orders of $25...and the fact many games come listed as complete often for only $2 more than a loose game. Gamestop and other stores just seem to toss things like DS cases in the trash.
Order was confirmed shipped with tracking within an hour and a half of placing the order. (They say they ship same day if you order by 1PM EST.) I still say ebay is best for things like starting a Dreamcast collection, simply because ebay has lots. Buying a system and extra controllers and games from Amazon and other game sites is way too costly.
Anyone had experience with this site? Seems like a no brainer to me, compared a place like jjgames, where everything seems to be constantly out of stock...
For comparison on Lukie's shipping, Walmart forces you to spend, I believe, $50 to get free shipping and Amazon has went up to $35.

Lukie's one of the big eBay sellers in video games. I've picked up a few things that way and was considering an order of a handful of cheap titles for my SNES collection. I used to find Lukie to be slightly more expensive after factoring in shipping costs, but lately looking over those prices, they actually tend to be on the lower end all told.

I went directly to their website, I didn't bother with ebay. I mean they offer a game like NSMB for less than $20 used, whereas my gamestop sells the same game for $34.99 used. Plus the free shipping means could get say NSMB and SMB 64 DS for about $30, with no shipping charges. The same purchase at my local gamestop would cost me around $60 plus tax.Ack wrote:Lukie's one of the big eBay sellers in video games. Yeah, I tend to look at their SNES prices, so there's no brick-and-mortar equivalents. Since SNES game prices have been going up, I find titles that used to be sub-$0.99 now go for about $2-$3 or more, depending on the game. Lukie does a lot of standardized pricing for these cheaper games, which is appreciated, especially as some can go for a bit more and can get gouged up further on shipping. Take Family Feud, for instance. It's going for the $2-$3 range, plus shipping, which Lukie tends to be on the low end of anyway. Some folks on eBay are asking things like $2 + $4 for shipping or more, which is ridiculous for a game that a few years ago was maybe $2 with shipping already factored in.jvalentine98 wrote:I went directly to their website, I didn't bother with ebay. Paying any amount for Family Feud is ridiculous.

Re: Lukie Games
I like the idea of a one stop shop. If I can get a couple PS1 games, a gamecube game for my nephew, a DS game, a 3.8mm tool for my N64 carts and a guide, all complete, for around $35-$40, I'm sold. No driving, no tax, no worries. I'm not concerned with their admittedly high prices on rare games, as I'm not going to drop several hundred on a video game anyway.Ack wrote:Yeah, I tend to look at their SNES prices, so there's no brick-and-mortar equivalents. That it is, but with SNES prices these days, it's sadly the way things are. At least it's not Wolverine: Adamantium Rage, a game that was sub-$4 and is now around $20.prfsnl_gmr wrote:Paying any amount for Family Feud is ridiculous.

Their Dreamcast offerings are pretty impressive, but even their "sale" prices are over average. Looks appealing until you realize it's all disc only pricing. Anything rare/expensive is incredibly overpriced as are any of the flagship franchises.

Re: Lukie Games
The closest indie brick and mortar store to me is over priced, so online is my best best. The owner at the indie store is nice enough, but he thinks like this: "I can charge a little more in store than the ebay price because you can play it today, versus waiting for the mail lady."
Not so fast, I can wait. I have plenty of things to keep me occupied while that item ships. I'm guessing this is the attitude most store owners have.
