Good choice. Braid is a cool enough game and going with the PS1 version of SOTN is a good idea. The Playstation version of SOTN is the original classic after all. Although the controls on the 360 version are not nearly as bad as previous posters had said just to clear that up. They're not perfect, but people here are really exaggerating. My issue with the 360 version is the changes to the content. They removed at least one of the video sequences if I remember correctly. They even took out the little thing where how you perform in the first boss battle affects your stats later. I wouldn't be surprised if they changed other things too.

The Saturn version is nice ONLY IF you played it on the Playsation or the Dracula X:Chronicles version on the PSP first. It is ABSOLUTELY NOT the way SOTN should be experienced for the first time. Igarashi himself hates the Saturn version and he was heavily involved with SOTN's creation. If you're a completionist, look up "mudman" before you start playing SOTN. It's something people miss when playing through the game leaving a permanent empty spot in your bestiary, if you even care about that sort of thing.

From what I understand, MS has a licensing system for a proprietary wireless tech so no 3rd party hardware companies are likely to make a wireless stick. Ever. Which sucks.
Ben Heck to the rescue... I should of thought of this. I got an old PS2 arcade stick laying around too!

This guy's a freakin' genius. I love his comic panel walkthroughs.

Yes it's true that SOTN is a bad port. I played through it on a PS1 with a Namco arcade stick. That was awesome.

I need to get back to Braid. I got a little stuck on the 5th(?) world.

What are you stuck with? I'll give you a clue if you are stuck (I don't want to spoil it though).

It's been a while but I think I'm missing a lot of pieces from the 5th world. It's the world where you rewind, and then the shadows repeat what you did. I didn't quite understand how they behave. Usually if I give up and go back later with fresh eyes I figure stuff like that out but I'd love advice of the non-spoiling variety!

Your shadow does everything you did. IT mirrors your moves exactly. IT cannot however do things you can't do yourself. Think, how you would complete the puzzle if you had a friend helping you. It's just that this friend performs a carbon copy of your movement after you rewind.

Are you stuck on the one with the key and large pit you can't quite jump over?

I think so. Again, it's been a while. I couldn't go check because my wife's been watching football (American) all day.

That one took me a while. Then it hit me. The solution is so straight forward you will hit yourself when you figure it out. I was actually pretty pissed at myself for being stumped on that one when I figured out the hunter (movement based forward/rewind version) stage straight away and it took my mate hours to figure that one out.
