I really like Yar's Revenge; so, I typically don't stop playing it until I have died at least a few dozen times.Luke wrote:You play Yars' Revenge until you die sir.

Started Hotel Dusk for the DS a couple of days ago. Seems like a fun little mystery game. I doubt I ever would have paid the full price when it was new but finding it for a few bucks certainly goaded me into giving it a whirl.

You're in for a great time. It's the best adventure game I've ever played, and I've played a lot. Aside from the authentic atmosphere of the hotel itself, the OST is pure laid back jazz bliss. The best part though were the dialogues with the characters. Every NPC in the game will grow on you in time, and each one is fleshed out believably. Hotel Dusk is the only game I've ever been sad about beating, once I realized I would never speak to its denizens anew again. Honestly this is one of my all time favorite games so I'll just cut it short here. But if you end up enjoying Kyle Hyde's first adventure, check out his last.vatermuzik wrote:Started Hotel Dusk for the DS a couple of days ago. Seems like a fun little mystery game.

Re: What are you playing?
Still playing the Sims 3 and my butler just vanished. The character was acting funny the last few times I got on getting in and out of bed about 100 times a night, standing inside objects instead of sitting on them etc. Hopefully I can reset her somehow otherwise there is going to be a lot of child neglect going on
At least my Sim had his life wish of becoming a author with 4k in royalties a week accomplished tonight, but my sim's wife's life wish of having 6 kids is a killer
. Playing on epic length so that will take 40-50 hours probably. Started on a small lot so the next 4 kids are going to have subterranean housing

Agreed. This game is very cool. It's a real change of pace from everything else I've played on the DS. I'm enjoying it quite a bit.Exhuminator wrote:You're in for a great time. If you end up enjoying both the Kyle Hyde games, I suggest checking out CiNG's other enjoyable DS adventures as well:vatermuzik wrote:It's a real change of pace from everything else I've played on the DS. I'm enjoying it quite a bit.
Trace Memory (AKA Another Code: Two Memories)

-This one has a lot of clever puzzles and an excellent protagonist. Also science fiction and even a ghost.

Re: What are you playing?
I'm now playing both Surgeon Simulator 2013 and Tecmo Secret of the Stars, on top of finishing up Borderlands.
Surgeon Simulator 2013 strikes me as a game that will be very hard to complete due to some of the requirements to get A++ scores And Tecmo Secret of the Stars will require a lot of time and grinding to finally finish it, as I'm only...1/4? 1/5 of the way through it?
Borderlands will be easy. I just have to finish a long game on The Gully in Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot, and I'll have officially completed it.

I got stuck somewhere in the middle and didn't know what to do next but really need to pick it up again. I think the art style gets old fairly quick but I liked the story.vatermuzik wrote:Started Hotel Dusk for the DS a couple of days ago. Seems like a fun little mystery game. I think the GBC remake has a set number of levels (250-ish?). No idea if it has a proper ending or anything.prfsnl_gmr wrote:I really like Yar's Revenge; so, I typically don't stop playing it until I have died at least a few dozen times.Luke wrote:You play Yars' Revenge until you die sir.
