Having never played it...what is it like?
It sucks.
I have not played it for a while, but if I recall correctly, it is like an early, boring version of Super Mario Strikers. It is too difficult to pull off the "fun" super moves; the game is way too slow; and the view of the field is too limited.
I second that on Mega Man Soccer having found a copy of it like 3-4 years ago locally. I couldn't stand it after about an hour as there was just too much going against it keeping the fun away.
Even as a kid who grew up idolizing Megaman more than Mario/Sonic... I was disgusted whenever I saw Megaman Soccer in stores. I just wanna shoot things and take down Wily/Sigma!
I still haven't tried it do this day. Sounds like that's a good thing.

I thought that was the general consensus. I've never played it before, but I've never heard of anyone liking it.
Never even heard of the game and now I almost want it ha ha Though I think i'd be better off playing battle network(which imo is one of the best rpgs I've ever played and finished to a majority of extent with each game)

I find in general gaming forums are ever full of rampant hyperbolisms. Especially when you've got concentrated fanboys of any one series. Hang out on NeoGAF sometime for the most extreme examples of this. I wish I could still get that excited over video games.
I wasn't exaggerating. I've seriously had some guys at school get in heated arguments about Smash. Idk why but we have a lot of Smashers at my high school. It's probably due to the fact that there's an arcade across the street that holds tourneys. It really surprised me at first when I saw how big and serious the Smash community was. I tried it but competitive gaming isn't for me. I always loved games as an art form and I feel to an extent that competitive gaming kind of trivializes it.
