Yes another review for Super Mario Bros, but what's wrong with a 3000th opinion!
Also this is finally the 5th GameDudeMat episode!

Re: Super Mario Bros review.
Personally, I think the game is a mess. The graphics are worse than your average flash game and there is no online play. The alternate player character is just a pallete swap and don't even get me started on how zhallow the plot is.
Maybe now Nintendo will acknowledge Metroid has a fanbase?
Re: Super Mario Bros review.
Yeah. I can only suspend my disbelief so far. It's a really gimmicky game, like most of Nintendo's junk. No staying power and soon to be forgotten.Nyukki wrote:Also, turtles with wings... What were they smoking?

STAR WARS Collectables w Metal Jesus

Kinsey & Metal Jesus talk about their favorite Star Wars collectables: toys, clothing, books, t-shirts, posters...and Pepsi cans!?
Do you have any cool or interesting Star Wars stuff? Post pics if possible.

Need a link Metal Jesus. For the lazy people.
I used to have all of these Episode One Fritos/Doritos Puzzle pieces. Now I have one or two left in my stuff somewhere.

They came in different colors. Lots of yellow, greens, reds and blues. They had different thicknesses and when you put a light under it, you could see a glow from the plastic. My little sister at the time liked putting playdoh on it and seeing the impresssion.
But for some reason now that I look at this pic, Its for episode II. I was unaware
of there being episode II puzzle pieces. I was just familiar with episode I.
I guess these were released in a different country. I dont think they were in the US. Unless they totally missed out on Northern California.
It was a short lived thing. I dont think they put prizes inside dortios/fritos bags anymore. Its been years since there has been any toys inside dortios bags.
But In mexico, they constantly put pogs and other gifts inside their bags. Whenever there's a new show or cartoon or just to muster up more sales they put their version of Pogs:
they are called Tazos. Here are some star wars themed ones. I had a few of them. But they got lost too.

Lots of interesting things to collect out there. And I'm sure in a few years when Episode 7 comes out, Mexican Sabritas will probably bring out some EP 7 tazos.
I'll probably collect them.

I will post some pics of my son's room when I get home. He has one of the best SW rooms ever. He isn't really old enough to appreciate (or even decide if he likes) Star Wars, but I went ahead and decorated his room as such.

I never had much SW stuff as a kid and I unfortunately let it go too. I do have 2 things though. One is some original Topps trading cards from the early movies. They were given to me some time after high school, but I don't have them handy for a picture. I have a spiral notebook too. I only used a few pages for some journal entries, but it is mostly there and in great shape.

Fan club info page still intact.

Was 89 cents, now only 29 cents on clearance at Montgomery Ward.

Aha! So that is where Activision got the idea for Skylanders. The RFI went from a speech box to unlocks in video games. Disney and even Nintendo figurines to hit the collecter.
That pop up book is pretty neat! I went on Amazon ordered a new shrink wrapped book.
A couple years ago, I picked up FORTY sealed copies of Star Wars Encyclopedia CD Roms on the cheap, a lot sale that came from Lucas Arts. Some even came with a limited edition Yoda print.
