Anyone try windows 7 yet?

Post by holaback »

I tried it but my wireless usb adapter keeps losing the signal to go online (unlike when i run it in vista) and then suddenly it doesn't see the device at all. Any ideas?

You're using beta software. The suggestions are going to be all the same: try fiddling around with drivers, or wait until the next release.

If stability is what you're after, use an official release until Windows 6.1 ... er 7... goes gold.

Best sign I've found so far: the iso is like half the size of what the Vista beta iso was. Less bloat is good.

So far it's good. I have issues as expected. The benchmark tool froze up. On first run, it connected to my wireless router just fine, but ever since I restarted, it fails to connect.

Does anyone know how to even get a key for it? You cant really report issues without one but they didnt hand any out. Whats the fucking point of the beta then?

I downloaded it earlier today, but I wont install it for a week or two. I am mainly interested in the media center.

1) You impress no one.
2) Maybe I shouldn't have to crack a fucking free-to-use beta.

Just FYI, that doesn't match the beta's current build number.

Yay! I finally move both my pc's to vista and now it's old news...yay for progress!

But on a side note. From first impressions, does it seem like a step in the right direction?

The only way to deactivate the ray beam and fight back the vampire alien threat is with a complicated series of foot patterns on the device's control board that looks remarkably like a DDR pad. We will all praise this man for saving our lives and buy him a mountain of stuffed animals.
