A game to beat the winter blues.

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

A game to beat the winter blues.

Post by corn619 »

Its cold, snowy and depressing in RI right now. Anyone have a good game to help cold racket members and myself beat the winter blues? The game can be current or retro and doesn't have to be beach themed, but a game that makes you happy and reminds you of sunny weather when you play it. Like when I play Secret of Mana and LOZ A Link To The Past, it brings me to a happy place and reminds me of late spring, early summer when I was younger. Theres something about the music in those games that makes me happy. If you want, explain why this game makes you happy and puts you into a good mood.

Outrun, or Outrun 2, or Outrun 2006 C2C.

If those fail, and I don't know how they could, let me know and I'll set you straight.

Winter blues?

Here in Louisiana, the temperature has been holding steady at a very humid and muggy 75-80 degrees (which is about 20 over the average temperature). Ugh. Damned sub-tropical climate. We'll probably even end up with mosquitoes in fucking January.

I might pick up Syberia on Xbox to see what snow looks like...

I'll swap you. I'm sitting in 36 degrees C (97 degrees F) in 70% humidity.

The only way to deactivate the ray beam and fight back the vampire alien threat is with a complicated series of foot patterns on the device's control board that looks remarkably like a DDR pad. We will all praise this man for saving our lives and buy him a mountain of stuffed animals.

Is there a game that puts you into a good mood or what? In RI its about 19 to 20 degrees F and where expecting about 7'' of snow. When the artic wind hits you it feels like your eyeballs are going to freeze solid. What I wouldn't do to feel warm sunny weather right now. Green trees, half naked girls, beaches, no snow, half naked girls, a good tan, cold cocktails and half naked girls, Boo hoo elvis.
