Where can I find reproduction cartridges?

Most the time those sellers don't get those inflated prices. You'll see the same copy of spiderman web of fire sitting on ebay for months at buy it now of $250. The only way those rare games get bought is if it's got open bidding and no reserve. They'll still go for high prices but never for the exorbitant asking prices some of those ebay stores ask.

i completely agree with you 110%, there is no feeling in the world that compares to playing a game on the console it was made to be played on with
it's controller that was meant to be played with.

but paying a modest sum for a reproduced cart is still not worth it for me, which is only my opinion. I'd rather just bite the bullet and go all out for the real thing. (not sure if the wifey would appreciate that tho...) because it's still just a ROM, but i can understand for completist or nostalgic reasons why a person would go for a reproduced cart. Hell, i'm eating my words because about a year ago, i found someone selling a copy of monsterworld IV translated and all in a genny cart, with a color label, with a box with artwork that had an instruction manual. I was all in until I saw the asking price $60 with shipping. had to bow out. I mean, what's the difference between this chap's cart and the ROM on my XBOX HD?

It's all good that you get enjoyment from a reproduced cart, because bottom line, that's what gaming is all about. Enjoyment, so it's all good.

I have their SNES and Master System flash carts. I've just ordered the MegaDrive/Genesis one last week (shipping confirmed, should be here next week hopefully).

I still buy/collect original games, because quite frankly I do really like owning original stuff. I don't consider using these cartridges on non-production systems "piracy". I find eBay sellers leeches of the human race, and paying someone a wad of cash for a "collectible" game is rubbish, as the original developer of the game isn't getting a cent.

And at the end of the day I'm more interested in funding original game developers than collectors (which is why I always by retro packs on modern consoles, even if I never play them, and instead play games on my Tototek flash carts).

I'll second NES Reproductions. I got a copy of SMB2j (Lost Levels) to play on my NES. It's cool stuff.

And I'd love to have that copy of Monsterworld IV alexis talked about!

Im a fan of NES Reproductions, Im very happy with my Recca '92 cart.
Plus I ordered a clear NES shell from RetroZone and Leon was cool enough to swap the boards and label the new case.

This stuff is way over my head. The second I see wires and components and shit, my brain instantly freezes and I fear that I may suffer from multiple aneurysms.

Thanks for the links, everyone. Some of these sites are very interesting, and it looks like I'll be dropping more money on even more shit I don't really need soon.
