There's a couple of good Hori ones in your price range:

Very tempted... I find it really hard to learn moves in fighting games, so only really play a few, currently SSF2THDR and Wartech SnR, but will be very tempted by the PS3 version

Well, your moves in SSF2THDR should transition well to SF4.

I never got into SF when I was a kid (was more of a KI guy, for some reason) but I recently started getting into it.

That said, SF4 looks pretty sweet. I might just have to pick up a 360 just to play it!

Hundreds of thousands of players registered on the major forums, several major international tournaments dishing out a combined hundreds of thousands in prize money every year. Fighting games are more popular now than ever.

Then you're either playing them wrong, or playing against the wrong people. Find some good, serious competition in your area (or online), and you'll find there's plenty of new techniques to learn.

Pre-ordered the PS3 Collector's Edition as well as the Ken Edition Fightpad.

I've never been too keen on the arcade sticks, but I had the Ken Fightpad for PS2 and that thing is just too good.

That's the new one. Good price and it looks sweet.

I'll buy for PC as long as it doesn't have any bullshit DRM, poor gamepad support, or any other technical problems. It's not likely to pass these standards, but we'll see.

Why do you say that? I've not followed Capcom's previous PC releases (with the exception of SSF2:T on PC many years ago). Are they fans of neutering games with DRM?

Given that the arcade game is running on WindowsXP embedded and using USB inputs (standard for most Taito TypeX and TypeX2 based games), I would assume that the home port will be based on similar code, and at least the game speed, graphics and input will be fine.

DMC4 was a good port, but DMC3, Lost Planet, Onimusha 3, and so on were pretty bad.
