SWTOR also requires a dual core CPU or better, are you giving the VM more than one CPU core?
Couldn't tell you much more than that, since I've only run it natively, and find it exceptionally bleh besides.

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
You could look into finding a Cider wrapper for SWTOR. It probably exists somewhere out there.

I gave it 2 cpus, 3gb of ram, and 1gb of vram. I think i had it working last time I messed around with a vm but I can't recall what I did(since I kinda remember running it before but I can't recall if it was in crossover or parallels :-\ weird....isiolia wrote:SWTOR also requires a dual core CPU or better, are you giving the VM more than one CPU core?

edit: ha ha, figured it out, parallels tools wasn't installed within the guest windows 7 I installed...makes a big difference(explains why sounds didn't work

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
The only reason is that I've heard all the problems with the early PS3s, and don't know if there is anything I can do to permanently prevent it. I'm also someone who prefers using real games, so cobra doesn't really help me.ApolloBoy wrote:And then pair it up with a Cobra USB stick so you can play PS1, PS2 and PS3 games from the hard drive.lisalover1 wrote:This is definitely the better option. What about gettin a 60GB PS3?
Too bad there isn't any good PS2 emulators for slim PS3s.

It's a hard life being a CSGO streamer.
Seriously though. Who is a giant enough piece of crap to call SWAT on somebody playing Counter Strike?

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
Got my EDGB today.
Unfortunately I got it literally as I was walking out the door to have dinner with my folks, then I came home to pack, then nap, now work, then going home to shower before getting on a plane to Dragoncon soooooooooooooooo I will have zero chance to play with it until at the earliest Tuesday.
Should have just gotten some roms prepared and sorted into folders ahead of time, ready to copy and drop... but that would have been way too intelligent of me
But I'm still excited!

Gunning for a licensed NES NTSC-U set, follow the madness and poverty here!

I HATE getting ranks in online multiplayer games. They offer a grind as a replacement to actual content, people who have played the game longer have an unfair advantage, and worst of all, no one plays for fun, they play for rankings and you end up with retarded custom maps (I'm looking at you GTA Online).

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
So the PS4 is a smashing success, and I just bought my first PS3. A 500gb Slim model. Thus begins my cycle anew of staying one generation behind. I can blame my backlog but deep down inside I'm just cheap frugal. Guess I'll get a 360 soon while I'm at it.
