GoG has the majority of them all available and working like a charm. Not to mention they are very inexpensive.KalessinDB wrote:Reading about the possible Sierra revival has made me want to bust out the old classics. Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
I have so much hype for both of the new Shantae games coming out; I'm such a huge fan of the games (and metroidvanias in general), and I love that they're finally starting to get recognition! ^_^

Re: Random Gaming Thoughts
I wonder if building a PS2 and PS3 into the same case would be in any way viable. I'm thinking only one set of outputs, and preferably with only disc slot. I doubt it would work all that well, but I can dream... then cry when I realize I don't understand electronics.

lol
I wonder what was all included in the backward compatible PS3's... thought I heard it was mostly just the laser. No idea what that really entails though.

This is definitely the better option. Get this model of launch PS3, then install a larger HDD or SSD yourself.Damm64 wrote:What about gettin a 60GB PS3?Forlorn Drifter wrote:I wonder if building a PS2 and PS3 into the same case would be in any way viable. Oh I have the eXoDOS set which is basically every dos game ever made done up with dosbox pre-configured and a nice front end...BogusMeatFactory wrote:GoG has the majority of them all available and working like a charm. But yeah, GoG is dirt cheap and I have some stuff there too. Great service.
Edit: Completely separate random gaming thought: I had a weird dream today where I went to a used gaming store I had never been to, and they had all sorts of professional-looking repros. But not the normal stuff you find online, I'm talking there were Saturn repros complete with longboxes, Playstation repros that were pressed CDs... my favorite (I bought all of them in the dream)? They had like 6 different Sonic & Knuckles-esque lock-on cartridge repros.
Now THERE'S an untapped market!
Gunning for a licensed NES NTSC-U set, follow the madness and poverty here!

Damn, I love and hate those dreams. It's quite fun perusing games and that you would never actually find in real life; but SOOO disapointing when you wake up and realize you don't actually have that Radiant Silvergun for 32X (or whatever crazy cool thing I imagined in my sleep).KalessinDB wrote:Edit: Completely separate random gaming thought: I had a weird dream today where I went to a used gaming store I had never been to, and they had all sorts of professional-looking repros. I don't have as many anymore, probably because I no longer live near any older game stores.
...just another lost soul...

And then pair it up with a Cobra USB stick so you can play PS1, PS2 and PS3 games from the hard drive.lisalover1 wrote:This is definitely the better option. Darn it...looks like I'm going to have to hurry up and build that computer. Stupid swtor keeps saying I have a incompatible system even though I gave parallels the 1gb of vram that I know I have, and half my ram(4gb). Wonder if in registery under the windows install that it doesn't say the right thing for vram type.... *sigh* good thing I'm making the thing cheap(at least hopefully the office 365 trial and maybe some other games would work....frogger for pc from the win95/98 era works with compatibility adjustments in properties
)
