I've never played or barely heard of God Hand, but now you've got me curious as that's just weird.

Ha. Well for the record, that IS how I've removed all my NES games, and it still f***ed up the pins, so there are some slots that are just too damn tight. It sucks, but they've been good on the customer service end. I DO need to pay the shipping to them, but they're getting me a brand new unit and paying to ship it back to me. Can't complain too much about that. I will be lonely without it though. I didn't realize what I was missing playing emulators on my wii for the last 8 years. Playing with the original controllers in HD is sooooooooooo much better :-)

I should also add, the only other slot I use consistently (SNES) started off quite tight and has loosened up nicely, so I understand how it's supposed to work, and look forward to having an NES slot that does the same. My Genesis slot is tight (only used a handful of times, Sega is for n00bs) but not nearly on the level of NES.

Played some Contra on this beast with the SNES controller last night. Love it. I may reprogram the buttons though - using A/B for NES games on a SNES controller feels odd. I'll program B to Y and A to B (you can do this on the Retron 5, right???)

Also, this is the first HD system I've owned where I had to switch the TV to "Game Mode" to get things to function properly. Didn't even know that was a thing. I wonder if I'll notice any difference in my PS3/Xbox 360/Wii U games.

You should check it out, it's on Playstation 2. The story is completely off the wall silly (but it's meant to be). Gameplay is off the wall bad ass. It's a Mikami game (who is a genius in my eyes).

And thanks Dun. Although if my daughter starts to roundhouse me to the face, we're going to have problems.

Yes you can remap any buttons you want, even the weird mode button on some genesis pads. Much with the system can be reconfigured how you want it which is nice. And yes game mode is a thing. I use it too, but only because I'm lazy about it because I find I only needed it with hyper sensitive music based timing games and a few space shooters as everything else was fine. The fact is the pre-HD stuff just isn't made or meant for LCDs and don't account for how they do the image instead of a CRT.

Yes, God Hand is awesome. I picked it up at a flea mkt. a few years ago simply because it was Capcom game that I never heard of.

The ending song is hilarious, too.

Welp, sent off my unit on its lonely RMA journey to California today. Cost about $14 to ship (probably could have found a way to reduce that, but I had it packaged up already and didn't explore the flat rate boxes). Gonna be lonely in the man cave without it for a week or two. I'll report on the new unit and how fast Hyperkin gets it to me when it arrives. Can't wait!

No problems since the update until last night. Tried my first SMS game and the saves were wiped. Is this a known issue? I'm not one of those people that is attached to old saves, but I'd like current ones to not be deleted.

My SMB2 cart as mysteriously decided to no longer be read on my system. I reached out to the techs PM box on facebook a few hours ago.

Works on real hardware before and after cleaning it twice. It's got me confused.
