Bacon's not kosher.

(yes, before someone pipes up, the cheese + meat isn't kosher either; across the spectrum of how kosher is followed pork is always the last one to be violated)

say what you will but the kraft with the breadcrumbs is amazing with some red pepper tossed in and tossed in the oven after putting together. But thinking about it now I'm half tempted next chance I get to grab a box of mac n' cheese and try to make a meal out of it by adding a meat of some sort or something that would end up lasting me a few days for work

Kraft mac & cheese is to mac & cheese what a McDouble is to a hamburger. They count, but are totally different.

I'll do the bread crumb thing if I'm making homemade mac & cheese with fontina, smoked cheddar, and gouda, but bread crumbs will never touch kraft.

Sounds like dasparx should seek out hamburger helper.

Indeed, chopped up hot dogs for cheap mac n cheese. Hamburger Helper for starting with something more 'meal like' and then add a can of peas and carrots if one is being lazy.

I don't know that deluxe with the crumb topping is pretty good, though I really ought to redo my meal choices ha ha. Maybe go with a wheat noodle of some sort and make it mac n' cheese with some hamburger meat or chicken tossed in....actually that sounds pretty good right now and is making me hungry ha ha

I love all types of mac & cheese. I can live with breadcrumbs although I probably wouldn't have put them there myself. Have you tried the lobster mac from Purple Café? Divine.

Going to make "Puppy Chow" sometime this afternoon.

Here's the scoop:

Put Corn Chex in a bowl

nuke a bag of chocolate chips, a tub of crappy peanut butter, a half stick of butter.

Mix with chex. Put that in a 2 gallon zip loc bag, add a fistful of powdered sugar, shake. let rest. Eat.

Had actual hamburgers last night. Labor day grill out with Burgers, grilled corn, and carrot raisin salad.

Kind of sad to see my "garden" shrivel. I'll make one last dinner of pasta with tomatoes, and basil, and then time to clean house.

Only acceptable way to eat Cheez-Its, imo.

Speaking of cheese, I am having jalapeno pimento cheese croissants at the moment.
