What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?

Talk about just about anything else that is non-gaming here, but keep it clean

Wow... I believe it. My roommate was the same years back when he and some friends and I were all hanging out, he brought over his PS3 to show us the new God of War 3 at the time or something and my friends and I couldn't believe he didn't have component or HDMI. We forced him to go buy some. Then he shat bricks.

Apparently. I've never really paid much attention to cables - I had no idea. Wow.
No wonder you've been gaga about cabs. Those are straight RGB or equivalent so would have looked miles better than everything else over composite. Unless of course you're pulling our legs. :P
I sort of think he must be, right? I mean, Mike surely must know that composite is SD and HDMI is HD? Right? Right?

My classes start at 730 and my apartment is about 3 blocks away from school so it takes me no time to get there but that's because I don't do showers in the morning. I'd rather take my shower late in the afternoon or before bed so I don't sleep with all my daytime sweat and slime on me.

The worst part about my school stuff so far is that I get my lunch break at 930. It's too early for me to want to eat and there is nothing open for food except the school cafeteria and a subway. I hate subway.

:( - love my job and all that as a stocker but I think I might need to start looking for another job. I just don't know how much longer i can handle being a stocker and this night working and day sleeping. Plus it seems that time passes way too quickly and I can't keep up with the time. I just need to find a internship or something for while I finish school or something and soon so maybe I can sleep like a normal person again...

mjmjr25 wrote::shock: Finally got cables for my ps3 (component) and 360 (hdmi) and have them off of composite. Blown away at the graphics.

Also - played my first 2K game in 9 years, NBA2K11, last one i'd played was NFL2K2 - again, blown away. Everything I thought I knew about gaming just changed.
Oh my gosh, you are joking... right? You mean that you weren't even aware of HD up until just now? I mean... sure it's possible, and it's understandable if you never got around to upgrading, but to think that you've never SEEN an image in HD is kind of mind-blowing.

mike's posts the last few pages are cracking me up.

yesterday was awesome:

:D bought myself a new-to-me Ampeg V4 w/ matching speaker cabinet. the grill cloth had been replaced but the speakers are the original CTS speakers and it sounds fantastic.

:D made contact with a guy trying to open an arcade bar in indianapolis. he has about 15-20 machines in his house now, all in great shape and ready to go. i guess there's a kickstarter coming soon. we talked for a long time about what his ideas were and what he wanted to do, and i think i get to be a part of it which is super exciting. just need to get all my cabs refurbed and working 100%

:D still on vacation this week from work, and i start classes today, so it should be an interesting week

Awesome to hear Aaron.

Smile - found some super 8 and 8mm films at the fleamarket in excellent shape
Ticked - realized that I no longer have a super 8 projector, and the 8mm took a tumble sometime in the past four years and is broken. A new Super 8 will run me $200ish.
Smile - I am intalks to pick up a specific favorite of mine on several 400ft rolls at a very big discount from market price:

We will see if it happens, but if it does, I will own every format it is legal to own it in.
