What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
Re: What Made you Smile/What Ticked you off Today?
After an HOUR LONG CALL with Ikea everything is hopefully settled and I never have to speak with them again.
The first and LAST time I ever buy something from them.

Speaking of furniture... I just moved out of a fully-furnished house I had been renting. So I have to buy new furniture for this house. Looking at some game storage solutions and HOLY SHIT are those big box store "media" (CD/DVD/Blu ray) shelves cheap and crappy as hell. Had a couple fall apart during assembly. One had the screw holes in the wrong places. Managed to find some that were at least manageable, and the best set I found on the side of the damn road.

Not sure where to post this - it really could go in multiple threads, but i'll put it here as more than anything, it brought a smile to my face.
Stopped in to a Superior, WI gamestop today - mostly out of curiosity to see if they also had plentiful copies of Xenoblade and Prime Trilogy. I had seen substantial stockpiles at the 2 Duluth, MN locations I had been to.
So sure enough - there are 2 copies of each, w/art, manuals, and cases on the floor - all in seemingly new condition.
My boys pick out a couple cheap sports games for ps3 and 360 and I head to the counter.

Bittersweet smile: Last True Blood party being held tonight. But it's not like we won't find another terrible show to latch on to on Sunday nights. And, Walking Dead will be coming back around in October.
Smile: Made my wife her first egg & onion sandwich in her entire life, and she loved it (warm bagel, poached egg, white American "cheese", and sauteed onion and bell pepper).
Same sandwich Myrtle May is known for
Smile: Got a call out of the blue, on a Sunday about a Pharm rep position. Yes please. Crazy timing as I'm in negotiations with another company too, so stuff is firing on all cylinders.
Frown: A group of my friends wants to do a group costume for Halloween. I've been planning on being disabled/blind/Eddie Murphy from Trading Places (no black face of course) since February. I even have the box cart with coasters, hoodie, jacket, glasses, and fingerless gloves.
And their lamest idea that they think is clever is going as "Where is Waldo". We all stick together hiding a guy dressed as "waldo". No thanks.
Three dudes, three ladies. Not sure if a group costume will work.
