SoulSeek > Viruswire
vm machine
run it (preferably frostwire on linux)
download stuff
scan stuff on vm machine
connect network bridge from vm machine to vm host
transfer to Windows

you can do it on just about any machine. Use xfce gui with some lightweight distro like puppy and you can vm at like 32megs.

yeah sounds like a lot of work, but I mean come on. It's a sure fire way to keep yourself clean. It's like a lead condom covered in pixy dust and a holy water tip.

I'd rather get syphilis instead of the latest wired virus.

You can download individual songs from bittorrent, too. Most clients let you download individual files from inside a torrent--so just find a torrent of whatever album you're looking for, and then only download what you want from it.

My sister uses frostwire. She says it's great, so give it a try I guess. (Personally I download from youtube)

Yeah but that only works if they have made the torrent correctly.

I want to slap people HARD when they release albums in rar files in torrents. They don't achieve anything from compressing it since the files are already compressed anyway. You just lose the ability to download each file individually so have to wait for the entire thing to download.

Come to think of it, I hate people releasing torrents in rar format anyway. There's just no need. Trackers should ban them.
