Glad I've got my physical copy.

Though I wonder if they might do what they did in Japan and bring over a 1 + 2 combo pack.

Yep. That's why I bought mine on release day. I've learned over time if you're interested in a new Japanese obscurity that actually got localized, best to buy it now full price, rather than bleed out for it later. On the flip side, you usually make at least what you bought the game for if you resell it, if not a lot more. Not a bad investment either way.

I'm in a bit of a jam since it is a portable system. I'm starting to consider going digital for all my future Vita purchases (which would necessitate a 32gb card). However, I'm worried about the future of the Vita and if there will ever be a Sony portable system afterwards. And if there is, will it be compatible or will it be like the PSP where only some of the digital library is available?

Makes it hard because swapping games out of the Vita is a pain in the ass as are those damn tiny cards. I'd much rather have everything with me I think.

The post-2014 future of the Vita will be whatever localizations XSEED, NIS, and Atlus bother to bring our way. Sony's last western effort for the system will be Freedom Wars' release this year.

There will not be another Sony portable. Vita's the last, bet on it.

I should say, I don't regret buying the system at all. Looks like I'll end up with at least 40 games for the platform by the time I'm done collecting. Not a bad haul.

@exhuminator - sad but probably true...vita is a great system that just wasn't marketed well and honestly had the wrong price point on everything(especially those dang memory cards). I'd rather use it than my 3ds some times but it feels like sony didn't even try to turn things around...

I can't believe with all the cross-play promotion around the PS4 launch that they're shelving this after the year. I was hoping one more holiday season of well-priced bundles but seems like the writing is on the wall.

I do like that all the cross-content with PS3 and PS+ will still be out there. PS One games, etc to play on the go.

Yeah and honestly it feels like they are giving up on the vita to soon. I mean the ps4 is just now really getting running and that could mean a lot of nice things for the vita if only they'd show it more love here. I remember seeing commercials all the time when it first came out and I really wanted one but couldn't get it since I didn't have a job and it seems like a year after i got it they gave up on it. It's got some nice titles and would be nice if they could've marketed it better(or not made it so dang expensive...because for a handheld let's be honest it's expensive compared to the 3ds last I checked...)

Where is the link/articles discussing them truly shelving the Vita? I guess I missed out on some big and depressing news. I too, feel like this system still has so much left to offer, I'd be depressed to see it be done within the year.

I see zero news of Vita support ending. Sounds like a bogus claim to me. No source? Then don't post such garbage.
