Re: What are you playing?
Looking at my desktop last night I realized there was a shortcut on it that I installed there about three years ago, but had never touched. The icon started the PC remake of Ys - The Oath In Felghana. So I ran it, and found myself once again enjoying an Ys game. I can tell this one uses the same engine as Napishtim did, although Felghana seems to be a significantly easier game than it was. I'm enjoy the moments of nostalgia I feel as I revisit the areas I last saw many years ago when I beat the PC Engine CD version of Ys III.
PLAY KING'S FIELD.

Still grinding out Ultimate Alliance 2.
Anyone know if you get different endings depending on which side you choose?

I've noticed that so many current-gen games seem to disappoint you. I feel the same way, which is why I mainly stick to retro stuff. Try that out maybe?Gamerforlife wrote: Struggling to remember last time I played a game on PS4 that didn't suck

Felghana, Napishtim, and Origin all use the same engine. Felghana is probably the best of the three.

God Bless you for playing that game to completion.Luke wrote:Still grinding out Ultimate Alliance 2.

I don't even recall if I ever beat it. And if I did, I know I never bothered to play the other side. That game, to me, was just a let down compared to the first one.
Re: What are you playing?
Thanks guys.
I agree the game isn't as good as the first, and it is a chore at sometimes to play (and some of the characters look straight jacked up), which leads me to think I might as well just give it one play through for now, move on, and come back to beat it again sometime next year.
I really dislike the way you unlock characters. Mindlessly breaking every thing in the game is tedious and time consuming. It's no fun.
And I could be wrong, but it doesn't seem that The Punisher is a playable character, which is dumb, as he plays a significant role in Civil War.
Hulk and the Thing being the same is also lame. But whatever, if I want to play as the Hulk I'll play ultimate Destruction.
Anyone play the kiddie version of Ultimate Alliance, Superhero Squad? Thanos got me into comics in the early 90's and has always been my favorite Marvel character. No game has done him justice yet, but Superhero Squad has that charm that the lego games have. Worth a play if ya ask me.

I pretty much agree 100%. I also didn't like the fact that you can only unlock 2 alternate costumes for each character.Luke wrote:Thanks guys.

Never played Superhero Squad. I do agree that Thanos is, indeed, a bad ass. You have read Infinity Gauntlet, yes? I highly recommend Thanos Quest (which is a prequel to IG) if you haven't read that either. Also go see Guardians of the Galaxy if you get a chance. I won't spoil anything for you, but I'm sure you will have a smile on your face at least once.
